  • A MSF natural, they have a wide variety of shades especially for us women of color. Thanks for the tips on clothes I'm plus sized as well.

  • I like your video. You are a beautiful woman and the color of your skin is irrelevant. Also you don't need foundation. I love Mac, nars, makeup forever, and Lancôme just to name a few. I don't wear foundation I use Mac mineralize skin finish natural and concealer. A very light amount. Because I work really hard to keep my skin clear so I don't like a lot on it. I love eyeshadow and lipglass. I would say if you'd like to try it. Go to mac and ask a MA to find your shade in a light concealer and

  • I have found that the darker your skin..the less likely you will have to wear foundation..I only were...eye shadow..eye liner..and maybe lip stick sometimes..but mostly lip gloss..I enjoy pulling my hair back and showing my skin..my boss calls me big black..cause am so dark..at night you can't see me and I like that. but the best thing is how color pops against our skin...

  • YOU ARE A BROWN GODDESS!!

  • Im a lil darker than you but I use covergirl the Queen Collection the color is true ebony. I love it more than fashion fair and its a lot less expensive. But you can always go to a department store and someone will help you match your right shade of foundation. Hope this helps a little! :)

  • im dark skin too. and i said the exact same thing as you. sometimes it seems like they dont make make up for dark skined people. so i have a little bit of trouble finding the right tone for foundation. i use Covergirl Queen collection. it only looiks good on me during the day. but at night i look like im dead because its too light on my skin. my mom said that i would like Mary Kay. i havnt tried it yet but ill let you know how it works. because me and you are about the same skin tone. :)

  • I am darkskin and I had trouble finding some foundation for myself. When i was shopping at the drugstore I found that the Maybelline Makeup in Cocoa works pefect for darkskin. If u wanted something a little higher grade, you can go to Mac or The Lancome Counter. Both of them have a great selection of foundations for Dark Skin. At Mac I am a NW50 in the summer and a NW47 in the winter. At Lancome I am (yet again =]) a Cocoa and their concealer is flawless! Love yourself Dark skin is in style hun!

  • girl let me tell u, im a caramel color and its hard to find makeup that will match black skin period...no matter what the shade. i feel your frustration, im tired of only seeing two colors for black women, sometimes only one...im like wtf lol

  • you remind me of me..i have the same thing..like i look in the mirror and see brown..but when i'm like in a picture next to a friend i see the difference..

  • Look, I'm just as dark, if not darker. I use the black opal concealer and (occassionally) mac pressed powder. I also use the copper loose bronzer (by Maybellline). I'm telling you. It's an EXCELLENT combo.

  • I'm dark skin AA and use several foundations. I think 'Cover FX' would be a great suit for you! Try B45 or B65 for your color! You can try your local Sephora or online @ Sephora!

  • go to sephora, and they test different doundations on u to match ur skin tone. I am really dark and could never find make up that suits me. So the Sephora store helped me find foundation,

  • they dont sale queen latifahi where i am from thats says alot about the town im in huh

  • Also European brands- BLACK UP PARIS and MAKEUP FOREVER. FASHION FAIR is really good.

  • I agree with you. Here's a few companies to try and some even give your money back if you don't like it. IMAN by beautiful dark brown skinned Ethiopian model. QUEEN BY COVERGIRL fronted by Queen Latifa, BLACK OPAL, MAC COSMETICS, SLEEK COSMETICS from South Africa. SHEER COVER. BARE MINERALS, MARY KAY. You could also try to have a custom blend made by PRESCRPTIVES. Try the colour on your jaw and then blend a bit from the middle nose area outwards. The best thing about dark skin-Bright colours!

  • I like Mary Kay, or Faces. I don't know if you have Faces in the United States

  • I agree with you ...BOBBI BROWN BOBBI BROWN BOOBI BROWN, Im dark skin and I love her it looks natural you would look beautiful in it. • Hi Doll -

Be careful of that brainwashing. I share your complexion and have shared your struggle as well. I use MAC nw45/47 depending on the time of year. I love it as it enhances my undertone and naturally beautiful skin. Don't skimp on your makeup..You are a cutey-pie - own it!

  • You are in the same position as me! Thanks so much for posting this video. You had me cracking up from 1:30-2:25. My skin is dark too, and I used to be called the same names. I used to look at black crayons and wonder, am I really that black? LOL! Anyways, the comments that some of the ladies left are really helpful. I'm going try a few. Thanks again for posting this video.

  • lol i ended up buying nw55 by mac try it, its amazingggg

  • HI - i am just seeing this. Remember, your skin tone changes throughout the year, so you will need to change up.

  • Hey girl I feel you Im dark skin too try nw45 in mac or cocoa 3 in maybelline, the queen collection really caters to women of color it's really good, there are also some beauty store brands that's good like kiss and sinfulcolors. Hope this help for whatever your budget is.

  • Girl let me tell you. Im dark skin. You dont have to go with expensive if you never bought foundation before. Maybillene foundation in the tube its light blue the color is Coco for dark skin works wonderfully. The package now may look different it is now is a clear plastic bottle(looks like those little fabric paint squeez bottles) Its the Pure Makeup collection, but anyway it work good.

  • imma try that next thank yoouu

  • the Queen Collection by Cover Girl is awesome girl {{you got to get into it}}... I wear it everday and i am dark skin. I promise you'll like it and it makes you look so natural. But let me know if you use it and if you like it ok

  • my mom is the same color of you and she found a really good foundation at the M.A.C counter in Macy's.

  • Do NOT take it as an insult you MUST understand that the whole light skin dark skinned foolishness is an overstay from when other ppl would try and tell us we were nothing. YOU ARE a LOVELY BLACK WOMAN with pretty and radient skin! YOU do NOT need any foundation ....just a simple skin care routine where you exfoliate your skin and a good day cream and night cream...THATS IT!! if you want to take off a little sheen a good blot powder will do the trick M.A.C has a good one.

  • ty so much, imma just keep it natural

  • brainwashed hahaa lol (^__^) nice vid

  • try 'Iman'. u can find it at target or a mall

  • My friend is your complexion and she wears Maybelline Pure Make up in color dark cocoa. You can find it at Wal mart.

  • ty you mama!!

  • There's a tutorial here on Youtube for deadsexymakeup. It's one on metallic neutral and the model is about your complexion. They list what make-up and foundation she uses so I recommend you check it out :D Good luck finding your perfect shade!

  • hey girl.

a good foundation to use would be Covergirl Tru Blend. The darkest shade is made for dark women. They made a brand for dark skinned girls ( it's a Queen Latifa forgot checck out the website)

If you have proper skin then you can just use a powder and just retouch it in the middle of the day when your skin oils it out. Well good luck and if you need anymore info send me a msg ;]

  • i guess no one can help me :(
