very nice :] didn't know that someone else is using smudge as well :) i do one thing differently, i duplicate the image layer and smudge it, then lower the opacity so that the image does not look to artificial.
thank you, your videos are awesome, there is a clear image to see, you talk slowly and clearly so I can follow through, awesome, soooo helpful! Kudos dude!!!!
You say you don't like to do tutorials of things that other users have done. I would just like to say that if you enjoy creating these torturials you should do as many as you can.
I learn more from your videos than most of the other "tutorial" videos. Many times they just say, ok filter, select, blend cure, open up new layer, change the lighting to blue and BAM. Well I don't know how to do that and I often have to pause to see what they are clicking. Bottom line I think yours are better.
I can't figure out how you copied that pink color and made it a solid layer before reducing the opacity. What exactly do you do after creating a new transparent layer and then selecting the foreground color?
Just to clarify... the part I can't get is from about 7:30-7:45... what exactly do you copy and what do you do to get it to be a solid layer? My layer just says "floating selection" with no changes.
OMG Thank you thank you thank you!!! Just what I needed ^_^...I do have one little perhaps dumb question but uh...how do you get that yellow circle selector thingie everytime you get a new brush...I mean I don't have that sorry I'm dumb ^^; lol
Great videos. I love the detail. They have helped me through the initial stages of frustration with learning this powerful piece of software. You mentioned "Photolink" as someone that is AMAZING and has some great learning vid's but I can't find them. Can you send me a link to one of his vids.
most of the other tutorials just zoom through. they play craaap music in the background which make you want to punch an infant. :) so thanks for this!
wow thank you!!!!

Gimp is a rather poor editor, sure it's free, but that's about the only positive thing you can say about it.
