  • @brownyponce yes, now everybody in the dunk contests are doing between the legs

  • That was the first Between the legs dunk, right ?

  • Paved the way for some cool between-the-legs dunks. But if this dunk was done today, it would get like a 7 or 8 in the NBA dunk competition.

  • great dunk

then J Rich just shitted all over this dunk

  • Charles Barkley :That may be the best dunk I've ever seen!

I guess thats when people didn't have capes.

  • JR Rider-Expert dunker and expert at making a pot pipe out of a soda can

  • that was UHWSOME

  • "Isaiah Rider: My testimony, Raw and Uncut." Coming soon.....no stone left unturned. Follow @Isaiah_Rider for the real. One Love

  • Lol at Charles Barkley, now almost all dunks are Awesomer than that.

  • And he was never heard from again....

  • oh my god! that might be the best dunk i've ever seen!

  • Lol isaiah looks like 'shaq

  • i thought we were gonna get to see Isaiah Rider's "between-the-legs"

i had the vaseline ready and everything

  • @VietGnomese

    thats just disgusting

  • @VietGnomese WTF???? You sicko!!!! ill you disgust me.

  • Fucks me how this scored low compared to Kobe's weak ass one in 97.... and that won it for kobe too.. :-/

  • "that might be the best dunk i've ever seen, that was awwusum" lol

  • "that had to be the best dunk i've ever seen, that was awwusum" lol

  • Dermar derozan just remixed it.!

  • @JTFlip1 and only got a 44.. crazy shit right there.

  • Rider didn't invent the dunk (That was O-Dubs' baby)...But he perfected it.

Dude was a good player...just had too many demons.

  • Yeah when he did this he was the man overnight...he fell off hard though.

  • the eastbay funk dunk

  • the Dunk contest was over the hill until Dwight Howard the true dunk champ of all time. Superman raised the basket to 15' with a fork lift and dunked. That won't be done again !!!

  • Orlando Woolridge did that thing way earlier than Isiah

  • this was back when nobody did this... nowadays this is a boring dunk

  • he looks so much like shaq!!

  • "my parents should have named me isaiah cuz im a rider"

    always loved that guy

  • well although rider did not "invent" it actually, he made it famous

  • wow. do that today and its so normal.

  • im sorry for Isaiah Rider's fan, but he's not the first to have done it ....Orlando Woolridge plus he did it around is back before.... Isaiah took the credit from Woolridge... Rider doesn't even deserve it

  • this was the best dunk he has seen until vince carter

  • Orlando Woolridge did this dunk first

  • His Mama named him JR. i'm gonna call him JR.

  • JR Rider Created that Dunk.. He was doing that same Dunk in College

  • @qubice41 Orlando Woolridge before this, ...1984 in Denver

  • @qubice41 Bullshit Wooridge did it in 1984, Jordan did it at magic's Charity game in 1989

  • "that was awbsumb"

  • Its crazy that now someone has done this same dunk with a 360 added lol...

  • he looks like shaq

  • his career went tumbling down...he should have been listening to his coach

  • He broke now

  • dude nate robinson did it idiot in the dunk contest

  • He revolutionized dunking with that...more than the free-throw line dunk, the windmill, or the 360

  • @clayg80 I am going to disappoint you (if you want to talk about revolutionasing), but Orlando Woolridge was the first to do this dunk and he did it in more difficult way. Just check 1984 NBA SDC.

  • @BassoNero and only got a 48 for it haha... Crazy when you think of some totally unoriginal dunks getting 50s these days.

  • @LazyN8r he got 48 probably cause he tried it for like 15 times.

  • @EliasJordan3 Did he? I was unborn at that point... I've only seen highlights of the dunk contest. That's understandable if that's the case however...

  • Isiah Rider is just like Stephon Marbury,an incredible talent In college but egotistical cancers in the nba. What a damn shame.I don't like to compare Kemp to Rider though.Kemp was a good guy & a phenomenal player In his day,he just couldn't stay away from them damn drugs!!!

  • its funny how back in the days the nba would even draft uneducated fools like Rider and Kemp who even with millions of dollars couldn't manage to keep themselves away from the "ghetto" and smoking the rock lol

its sad that so much talent was lost due to crack cocaine...

anyway iam glad i dont see players like that in the nba anymore

  • sorry but in a decade somebody like tim donaghy is gonna jump out and disappoint you

  • whats tim donaghy got to do with it?

    my point was

ËVEN WITH MILLIONS THEY COULDNT KEEP AWAY FROM THE GHETTO AND THE DRUGS.

and if u disagree with that comment maybe you should open up a book and do some of your research and stop giving my comment a thumbs down. jeez

  • look like vince young a lil

  • they said dude yoused to get so baked he would show up to games wit the other teams jersey on lol

  • problems cause he from da bay and likes to smoke that good cali purp and i need his throwback

  • I grew up in Vegas while he played at UNLV. J.R. Rider (aka Isaiah Rider) dominated in college...

  • He threw that dunk do so hard.

  • Timberwolves need JR Rider back

  • He is old, fat and full of shit nowadays. Ryder had fans but bad attitude and drug problems as well.

  • Dude had talent and strength but a total cancer on any team. Not worth it.

  • East Oakland yeah thatz right

  • the east bay funk dunk?!

now that was the start of the between the legs dunk!

even though orlando woolridge did a between teh legs dunk before rider back in the 80's

  • ahaha i remember watchin this as a kid..was sick , and not just the ebfd by isaiah...the whole contest was insane

  • im blown

  • I remember when Rider was a Blazer against the Bulls with Jordan as his opposite. He was red-eyed to the max, but lit his ass up for like 30 points and was talkin' at Jordan, like, stop That!

    He was black-balled-no pun int.

  • i heard rider is comin back and signin with the new jersey nets at the age of 38

  • me too

  • were you high when you "heard" this info?

  • he is signing with a ABA team in hopefull of a NBA contract. Read it on yahoo, go look it up

  • Yeah I already knew that... I was just saying ABA doesnt equal New Jersey Nets... or any other NBA team for that matter...

  • lol charles

  • Like him or not Isiah Rider made history and changed the game with this one and players are still doing it til this day!!!

  • I remember watching the dunk competition when he did this. Everybody went nuts because nobody had ever done anything like this before. He raised the bar more than anyone else ever had in this competition.

  • Isiah Raider what?! Buahahahaha you gotta be kidding right? How old are you, seven?

  • @ElephantRage that's the name you chose? lol its obvious that you were asking yourself that question with your elementary profile name HAHA. And since your obviously not aware of this Isiah Rider was THEE 1st to do this dunk & players are still doing it to this day idiot,so I repeat he changed made history with this one! Btw if you're gonna attempt to talk down at least spell correctly its Isiah Rider not Isiah Raider,he played basketall not football dumbass lmao!

  • @Enigmatic945

Orlando Woolridge did a between the legs dunk in the 1984 dunk contest, a full 10 years before Rider did.

So, who was it that made history? Maybe you need to learn a little bit of history before you go out into the world trying to teach it.

  • @vejatabul I stand by my comment,Orlando was the 1st to come up with the idea YES! But since you wanna be technical about things you'll notice that Orlandos version was a reverse not a straight up dunk between the legs going forward like Isaiah Riders

  • @Enigmatic945

Just because someone is the first to be known to have completed something, does NOT mean that they came up with or invented it. Popularizing it is one thing, but I was doing lay ups between the legs in 1992. Had I been able to dunk at that time, I guess I could have. Even when I was able to dunk, I never really cared to do any dunks between the legs. Oddly enough, I never really tried. I was more interested in windmills and 360's.

  • @Enigmatic945

Orlando Woolridge did a between the leg in the 1984 dunk contest.! Rider changed shit

  • @Enigmatic945 too bad woolridge did it a decade earlier

  • @neeks6 too bad thats already been noted, anybody who knows the game just knows it was a different variation of what Orlando did but the difference is when Orlando did it nobody cared cuz he was in the dunk contest with so many great dunkers, but when Isiah Rider did his version of it..it caught on like wild fire!

  • @Enigmatic945 kobe did it before him...

  • It's Kanye!

  • i like his reaction after he did it...is dis the 1st ever seen between da legs dunk

  • this happened in like '94 you retards

  • omfg..in the nba he just put it between his legs and the crowd went crazy....take a look at TFB where they do a 360 between the legs with their chins over the rims man...nba is bs compared to TFB

  • TFB ??

  • u dont know shit so pls stfu. u prolly don't even play basketball

  • yeah, and your talking bout "omfg, the crowd went crazy.. blah blah".. that's because this happened a long time ago.. ever thought of that? IT WAS PRETTY NEW BACK THEN. legitimate my ass. even my 6 yr old brother has a legitimate team, so wat r u talkin bout fuckin legitimate. pfft

  • you said i probably never played bball idiot

  • what the fuck are you smoking if it's weed good luck with dat.

  • NBA dunkers are a joke compared to team flight brothers.

  • in the future, they will film a commercial in the air before they dunk.

  • Didn't He Invent The Between The Legs?

  • NO NO NO NO Vince Carter Enhanced the Between the legs not invent it

Isaiah rider Invented the Between the legs dont even deny!

  • orlando woolridge did the first between the legs dunk in the 84 dunk contest......

    look it up and learn

  • How would expect me to know that FYI!

And by the way i ani't from the 80's son

  • lol nowadays, you'd be lucky to get a 45 for something like that. ahhhh oh well

  • you know the dunk contest has come a long way when a btl dunk was considered the holy grail..now theres tons of 6'0-6'4 guards who can do this dunk easily..the holy grail now is 720, in the future it would be the double btl dunk..

  • Like in NBA Live 2006, I still wonder why the fuck they implemented a double between-the-legs dunk when I have never seen anyone do it for real.

  • like you said it's a playstation game.

  • First, that's where the "video game" aspect really comes into focus. Throwing it off the camera, catching it, putting it through the legs....yeah, a human can really do that.

Secondly, NBA Live has really been a crappy basketball game since 05, and putting a dunk contest in it is just a ploy to get fans back into it. Did it work for me? No.

  • Because it's vitual reality/entertainment..it does'nt necessarily have to be factual.

  • @ConcaCon Because NBA live sucks

  • @ConcaCon you cant do the double cause your momentum stops the first time you put the ball through so your on the way down doing the flush. you would have to do the first part on the rise and it cant be done

  • @ConcaCon it will be done.... oh yes, it will be done.

  • @venuecam

Tell you what, can't wait to see it cause at that point, I'll probably say there shall be no more dunk contest. A double between the legs would be the ultimate dunk, right next to a 720.

  • And you know what high school he came from ENCINAL HIGH SCHOOL HOME OF THE JETS BABY JET PRIDE!

  • charles barkley sounds different here lol

  • I think he was kinda slim back then. LOL

  • if you know basketball you know that dunk made him the man in the day

  • The dunk contest has come a long wayz

  • djfakt Fuck you nobody cares bitch just fuck off some stupid fucking spelling this is not language arts class bitch

  • kobe

  • Rider was the man, that was a sick dunk, too bad Michael Jordon could never do that dunk between the legs.

  • Are you serious? just becuase he never did it, doesn't mean he couldn't have done it. that level of creativty just was around back int he 80s thats all

  • c'mon how you r you ganna say something like that abouit the best of all time

  • JR Rider!! Alameda! Encinal High School!

  • tht aint tht great tht happens like every year now lol

  • Yeah it does but until Isaiah did it NOBODY did it ANYWERE. This guy pushed the envelope when it came to creative dunks. Before this people where doing windmills, 360s, double pump back slams, or the every boring jumping from the free throw line.

  • Orlando woolridge?

  • "tht aint tht great tht happens like every year now lol "

Great punctuation!... Spelling too! You are the epitome of laziness and ignorance! You should be proud! Yesssssssssssssss!

  • i cant believe people bash on others spellings on YOUTUBE, if this was the SAT or an English class i understand, but youtube?? come on lets be real

  • ahh JR u truly are a national treasure

  • LOL

  • baby shaq?

  • shaq!?

  • lebron makes this dunk look easy and does it off the dribble

  • yea people do dunks easily because of trial and error and copying throughout the years. so it is a standard dunk nowadays. but to first come out with it is an accomplishment (which he did not).

just like a high jumper jumps over the bar higher because of refined technique which the game has built.

  • I just realized this... but is he the reason people call the tween-the-legs the "rider"? And uh.... people aren't copying it from him, he copied it from somebody... I think it was in 1984 dunk contest first.

  • As far as I know he was the first one to do this dunk, and he was definitely the first to do it at the pro level. There was huge hype for him going into the contest because he did it in the NCAA dunk contest the year before. And he named it "Eastbay Funk", because it was his dunk.

  • no, he was not the first one. someone else did it in the 80's in an NBA dunk contest. way before rider. but it wasn't hyped.

  • The person you are talking about is Orlando Woolridge, and it was a different dunk. You can find the video on here if you want to compare them.

  • i saw the dunk, he did an around the back, and then did a reverse between the legs. im pretty sure woolridge's was more difficult. and it was done in 1984, 10 years before rider's dunk contest.

  • It was a different dunk. My statement about Rider being the first one to do this dunk at the pro level is accurate. What is the argument here?

  • Orlando Wooldridge did it in the 80's.

  • thats right, thanks for reminding me.

  • finally someone notices that too , i think it was a dunker from portland trailblazers or houston rockets. i have to look at my tapes , he did the dunk way before rider.

  • Orlando Woolridge

  • Isaiah had a lot of potential, too bad the drugs took over. He seems to never stay out of trouble - he JUST got out of jail. SO far, he has not done any PRISON time, just jail, and yes, there is a HUGE difference.

  • he was in prison way after he was a bad player. cant blame that one..

  • he looks like shaq

  • many people dont know that orlando woolridge was the first person to do this dunk in the 1984 contest.

  • yeah the guy MJ was struggling for minutes with in his rookie year.

  • how fast did he do it, ai

  • that guy was good

  • he loox like SHAQ!

    lolz

  • kool!!

  • come on Jay, slow ya role as if ya leg was broken.....Go get Sherbert and rest your neck in Montana or else.

  • Gold! Shame he's in prison (for the another 2 months). He could have been a great player...

  • classic

  • this is in what year?

  • 1994
