I miss this game. Still have it though...and so the adventure begins...the quest where you have to find a lost videogame. Across huge black spiders in the house you have to kill (scare, in my case. I wont kill spiders) a long unending stairs and a dark room, the box with videogames guarded by my vicious cat.

Jeremy Soule.is one of the best musicians out there for video game music. The first three Harry Potter games for the PC are still some of my favorite video games (I'm 16 and still have them all installed on my computer). Maybe that's just me clinging to my childhood. :'(

Nockturn Alley used to creep me out. It was a huge relief when I got to Diagon Alley. I remember casting Flippendo at Mrs. Weasly and she would say, "Stop that right now, Harry." I kept doing that and it would never get old. *Sigh* I will make sure my children will read the books/see the movies/play the games.  This will be the first game they will play before playing ANY other game.

I have stopped playing HP games at the 4th one. It was just too different, too dark and ugly, and didn't bring that warm feeling of visiting Hogwarts as the first 3 did. Can anyone tell me, did the games get better after the 4th one? Is any of 5-8th games similar to the first 3? I just really want to experience this atmosphere again :'(

@SymbolsWriter I feel what you mean. They never got quite as warm as the first three games were, similar to the way the movies changed. However, the 4th one was probably the worst game of the series because it was more of an action game. The 5th one was similar to the first three, and you could go around the castle and its grounds, and that was really cool, so I highly recommend you checking it out. Sixth one, too. 7-8 were different. Unfortunately, don't expect the warmth of 1, 2, 3 from 5 or 6

@SymbolsWriter Well, if you think about it, the movies were kinda the same way, and the books. The 4th one was a huge turning point. Anyway, The graphics became more and more movie based as they went on. The gameplay of the 5th and 6th ones were kinda similar to the first 3 only the castle looked more like the movie (inside and out) and there were no loading screens or puzzles. 7 and 8 were okay. I enjoyed them to some degree, but I don't think you would judging by your comment.

@WildSocrates It's not the graphics that did it. It's the boring and repetitive gameplay. If they had kept Harry Potter cartoony for say, the last game, fans would have been saying shit like "WHY IS IT SO CARTOONY!!! THESE ARE SERIOUS MOMENTS!!!!" But I do agree, the games were much better back then, because thy gave us a TON of freedom, sidequests, and a spectacular castle!!

This song, especially the part from the beginning to about 0:54 in this particular song reminds me so much of being very young and seeing the magic around me and believing it without question. This song draws back feelings from ten years ago to me, fresh as if I was actually taken back ten years.
