  • U suck

  • did not like this instruction

  • i love the flute in the background xD

  • don't waste my money!!!

  • does anyone know the origami that has a coin inside of it

  • @SangreAzteca131 its a recorder not a flute

  • oh god not the recorder agen!

  • SLOW DOWN!!! I could not keep up!! I was so confused! I am not a fast person! I talk fast but that's about it..:P

  • @SweeetCoookies That's why you can click the video's time line and play parts of it as many times as you need.

  • @SangreAzteca131 it sounds more like a recorder to me =]

  • If you have determination. You can do it step by step but u got to flatten it every crease, i always had to place it under a stack of phonebooks everynight for every step. I did it with Australian $5 note (plastic) perfect size.

  • oh gosh, i tried folding using my country's bill (singapore) and it does not work cos it's made of plastic! grr lol.

  • lol wtf?

  • i did it

  • thanks

    nice vid :)

  • will it work on mexican money ?

  • It's all about the paper's ratio of length to width. What is the ratio for Mexican money? Is it about the same ratio as for US money?

  • not with the plastic bills, but the old paper ones... yes!!!!! My sister knows how to do a nice heart where you can put a quarter inside it looks really coooooool.

  • thank youu :)

  • I love origami and you make it sooo easy! thank you! especially since you do it at a regular speed and you tell us the steps! =D

  • Hi = ) I just wanna say, thank you, lots for these demonstration videos, all the other websites on the internet just have pictures, blahhhhhhh = ( just successfully made the heart with a canadian bill ! gonna give to my gf tomorrow =D

  • It really does help a lot to see the folds in action, to see how they are supposed to look :)

  • Cool it worked!LisaSheaOrigami...what is your real name.I think I know you!

  • well my site is LisaShea dot com :)

  • wow i failed ^.^; i tried to make a heart and i end up getting a fox!

    lol

  • LOL still that's a good start! It takes some practice to get these shapes right. It's hard to re-fold the same bill so unless you have lots of bills around, it might be easier to cut some paper into the right shape and practice with that.

  • POOR SAKURA! ç_ç ... T_T

  • Hi, I don't have dollar bills so can you tell me what size the bill is? thx ^_^

  • Sure thing! Approximately 6 inches by 2.5 inches.

  • thanks =]

  • If you go buy a lunch at school, make a hard oraigami with a dollar bill. Example: A lunch cost $2, you can give the lunch lady a $1 Money Heart and they will accept it(Even if you paid $1!)

    I tried it...it WORKED!:D

  • LOL :) I guess they appreciated the gesture!

  • I've made a bunch of this and went to a strip club WOOT!!!

  • do you no the way to make an origami heart and it has a sort of star in the middle? i saw it but cant find again

  • u mean the perfect dollar gift?

  • Isn't there another way to make an origami heart? where you don't have to tape anything, it keeps it's shape. Cool video none the less :)

  • Actually if you sit an origami under a book for a while, it keeps its shape quite nicely. You have to do this with many origami shapes. But yes, there are lots of ways to do most shapes :)

  • ....so cruel........u sicken me.....using money as origomi paper

  • Ummm why is this cruel? This is how you give a tip to a wonderful waitress!! It's a tip - plus it is beautiful!

  • In Hawaii, people make about 20 of these origami money, then string them together as a money lei. I made one for my sister when she graduated from high school. She ended up standing out from over 300 other graduating students BECAUSE of that lei.

  • you can tell that the dollar bill your using has already been folded!!!...After a while doesn't it rip?

  • Yes, I did a whole bunch in a row that day and ran out of fresh bills :) Not really a big deal, the instructions work properly. US dollar bills are specifically made to be long lasting. You'd have to fold it a lot before you could easily rip it :)

  • no she doesn't go that fast. i understood it the first time i saw it.

  • 3 hours???? it took me 5 min....

  • Yes I think it would be hard to take 3 hours to do this :) But definitely some people who have never tried origami at all before need to practice a few times before they get the hang of it! It sounds like you're pretty good at this :)

  • do it slower!!! i had to pause so many times!!!! it took me 3 hours to do this

  • Yes the whole point is you SHOULD hit pause :) There is no way I could pace it for beginners and have it fit within 10 minutes. By doing it semi-slow, and having you able to hit pause, you pace it based on your own ability.

  • omg i live in australia and with our money we have plastic money not paper money so its hard to fold dam there goes my idea of a good birthday present!!!!! :) well done exelent

  • How about a check? You could write out a birthday check and fold it up into a heart :) Or take a pretty piece of paper, write a nice poem on it and then fold that up ...

  • thanks for the reply that might work thanks

  • My origami DVD is ready! You get 20 full sets of video instructions for traditional and money origami shapes. I have redone the soundtrack for the DVD and the video quality is much higher than on YouTube. I also provide prompt email support for any folding projects you have. Great for creating holiday presents and decorations!

  • who's the kid playing the recorder in the background? It's too cute! :)

  • I have now loaded up a fresh version of the money origami heart video with much better lighting. If you were having trouble seeing this video, please take a look at my new one and give that a try!

  • Hey Lisa Shea. Did you know that an anagram of your name is Sisa Lhea?

  • That sounds like a character from Star Wars :)

  • From the video I would say that you have a daughter at age... uhm... propably 7 or 8 - and she is practicing playing the flute? ;) ... Nice video

  • hey its a go board =D

  • Yes exactly, I love go :)

  • oh sorry

  • um can i have ur email so we can talk thank u bye

umm i also do origami a lot ok bye

  • For privacy reasons I don't give out my email address, but there is a contact form on the lisashea website if you want to ask a question.

  • oh wow i cant make that its kinda hard but i will try again bye

  • It takes a little practice - try doing just one step, then hitting PAUSE. Practice that one step. Then go on to the next step. When you break it into little pieces, it gets much easier.

  • thank u

  • Is that a child playing a recorder in the background?

  • I haven't heard of that version, but I'll see if I can find its creator and ask for permission to show it!

  • there is a version of a dollar heart which has a center that can hold a quarter - do you know this one?

  • LOL origami isn't "nicer" or "not nice"! :) I can fold a crane in probably 20 different ways. Each one has its own specific allure and beauty :) If you ever watch 'The Last Samurai', the samurai in the movie makes a valuable observation near the end of the movie. It relates to this idea. Well worth seeing.

  • i can do a nicer one..

  • thats cool, thanks for the video

  • Hmmmm, but there isn't any artificial lighting in this video. It's just done during the daylight coming in through the windows. I'm not sure how to get the sunlight to scatter ... I'll see what I can do!

  • Nice, but next time have your lighting pointed at a reflecting angle (hitting something else so it is scattered, instead of direct rays).. the shadows really obfuscate the purpose =P
