I found my tag and I switched channels so it took me til now to see it! . Dude, I agree with the descriptions, I just skipped most of it! lol I guess I liked it a little more than you did, but I don't put these books up to high standards. I also agree with that last 110 pages being "meh" Good video man, thanks for the tag
The ending screwed me over. I feel empty after reading the book. Really wish Arya and Eragon would have got together, but no, Eragon leaves her easily as he left everything else, and sails off forever, never to return. What the heck?
@crazypersonlol34 I know. Granted, I don't think Paolini isn't the best at writing scenes with affection. Most of the time it felt like it was forced and just plain awkward.
i like the vault of souls conclusion but i felt they didnt really utilise the eldunari apart from for energy. Eragon/arya romance had an unsatisfying conclusion. also i like the fact eragon incorporates the urgals and dwarves into the dragon riders. overall i like the book and love the series and its characters but it could have had a much better conclusion. It needed to be more epic after thousands of pages of build up.the eragon/saphira relationship is the highlight of the series for me.
@southparkfanatic333 Completely agree with you on all points. The whole love between the two dragons was terribly done. Saphira basically disappears for the last 30 pages of the book. Nasuada suddenly becomes the same person as Galbatorix and its just really annoying that she changed her views so much.
which just makes this awesome rebel leader and strong female lead into a suspicious and fascist leader. Also the reasons they had for why eragon had to leave and never come back were really flimsy. And i knew it was going to happen but aryas dragon despite being on the front cover is only in it at the very end for 2 chapters i think and never really did anything also we are supposed to believe that saphira and aryas dragon fell in love in two paragraphs? (to be continued again)
i hated the whole ending fight between eragona and galbatorix for several reasons the main one being they bigged up the size of shruikan so much especially when he flew into the sky but then he didnt do anything! they just backed him into a corner then executed him. i was hoping for an epic dragon battle over the skies of urabean but no. then eragon makes galbatorix sad so he kills himself? also i didnt like the resolution of nasuada creating something to govern magicians (to be continued)
For me it goes Eldest, Eragon, Brisingr, and then Inheritance. I hated the ending- how he just left. In my opinion so stupid. Especially after his love life just worked out (although I never supported that, she said no sooo many times- take a hint Eragon). I thought it was pointless at the end with spending all that time trying to figure out how to control all the magic users. I mean I wouldn't have even cared if this problem was never brought up, I would have never even considered it as one. T
And I ask you, how the hell did Roran never die!!! There were at least 10 opportunities for him to die and somehow he ALWAYS lives. A GOD DAMN WALL FELL ON HIM AND HE LIVED!!!

I can honestly say, this was the worst ending I've ever read. Absolutely awful. I can't say anything else about it.

They spend all this time fretting about this problem and DON'T EVEN COME UP WITH A SOLUTION.
