  • I should have been a dancer :(

  • troll electric man

  • Nice all this but should've used something else than Windows Live Messenger.

  • Well that's interesting. The screens that need light to be used were used to create something for the first time that's critical to themselves. Paradox.

  • @BlackAndYellowRat fair point :P

  • @MegaJimmya10 Indeed.

  • Ironic since 8 days, all 60+ Watt light bulbs for household application are now banned in EU. Thanks EU Parliament for leaving us democratically without choice.

  • in thoes days they iluminated the monitor with candle light!

  • I thought Edison was just a rather sneaky patent lawyer and it was others that did the inventing.

  • @RPPOZZ In 1875, Edison purchased half of a Toronto medical electrician's patent for a light bulb. That researcher was a Canadian, James Woodward. They attempted to form a company to raise money to refine and market their invention. In 1876, Woodward obtained a U.S. patent on his electric lamp and, in 1879, Edison bought the patent from Woodward, Evans, and all their Canadian partners.

Thus the electric light bulb became American.

  • LOL - 1:30 - "I should have been a dancer :-( " Random.

  • French : C'est quoi le son de cette video !??

English : What is the sound of this video!?

Spanish : ¿Cuál es el sonido de este video?

  • oh thankx GOD i did not understand .

  • 1:09 There's a Flux Capacitor!

  • ...Wheres the freakin crack?

  • Thomas edison is a phoney. He tried to make lightbulbs with DC power which ended up taking way too much effort, time, and money. Nikola Tesla did it with 5% of the effort, time, and money, and still edison got all the praise because he stole every idea from tesla and eventually stole his fame.

  • @adsqfer So you mean to tell me Tesla was the first to recognize that the internal resistance of a dynamo needed to be lower than the external resistance? Because he didn't. Edison did, and he almost doubled the efficiency of the best dynamo. State some more of your opinions, that are void of facts. Oh, and what you were referring to was Tesla's remarks about Edison's hunt for a viable carbon filament. Which was the only thing he talked about. Yes, I have read the microfilm.

  • @245kmb He definitely wasnt the first. On the contrary, he worked with edison to accomplish many things. Except when edison petitioned a patent, 90% of it's contents was all tesla's Ideas and work.

  • @adsqfer The thing goes for marconi, which literally stole ideas from tesla's patents to make the first intercontinential radio connection. And it wasn't until after his death that people realised Tesla actually deserved that patent.

  • @adsqfer Sorry, don't know if I tagged you in my above comment asking about which patent. Thanks.

  • @245kmb Which patent are you talking about? Foreign or domestic? I know that patents can be hard to come by if you don't already know which one's they are. And I'm not saying you don't. I'm just curious. The best library I know of online with patent's of Edison's is rutger's. Or if you know of a better one, I would love to know. Really. I'm in no way refuting Tesla's competence. He done things back then that we still cannot replicate today.

  • I came here from Facebook

  • The Awkward Moment that they are using the OLD msn.

  • I love it! :)

  • Nikola Tesla 4 the win.

  • i loled at 0:21

  • lol flux capacitor

  • Nice I like this. Glad I have One Note lol

  • One big error with this - Edison did not invent the lightbulb. Cornishman Humphry Davy invented it in 1802 - yet Edison was not even born until 1847!

A quick visit to wikipedia will tell you that at least 22 others invented light bulbs prior to Edison.

  • @fenellaoatley Edison invented an economical system of electric lighting that also paved the way for other household electrical devices. He just so happened to also invent a light bulb that lasted far long than any other. He was the first to use a high resistance filament that allowed for smaller conductors (main expenditure) and lamps in a parallel system which could be operated independently of each other. Every other inventor before him created a novelty. He created a commercial lamp.

  • They didn't show the part where Edison bought a patent for the lightbulb from someone else, burnt it and made the same thing, but with his name on it.

  • is there a font such as that handwritten one in the video ?

  • @rezzraz I bet there is, but I don't own this product so I can't tell you. :(

  • other ideas...A blanket with sleeves...Hilarious!

  • Edison was a devious crook and not the one who should be remembered in history, but rather his rival Nikola Tesla. He was a true genius, and had he lived he likely would have had a solution to what has become an energy crisis with his Wardenclyffe Towers had they not been destroyed by JP Morgan, all for greed. Tesla was a tremendous genius who died well before his time. For a sample:

  • You know what's better than this Microsoft? People actually DOING things instead of sitting hunched over computers.

  • @ZachWulf Well said, sitting-hunched-over-computer-guy!

  • " Where do we begin ? " Well let's steal Tesla stuff and take credits. :D

  • Love this ad campaign! It definitely takes a lot of imagination to link it to Microsoft Office if it existed back then.

Can't help but wonder how accurate the small details are in relation to what really happened.

  • really powerful thing :)

  • OneNote is one of the greatest things Microsoft ever did.

  • @yellowblood why is that
