  • They both sound good to me...just different. I like the dark energy over all, but its $400-$450 dollars more...and there's something to be said about a synth you put together yourself.

  • @Az00ra Ahhhhh, ok, now i got it (i made a really stupid question!!!!)! Thank you for the elucidation!!!! Cheers!

  • Hi! Interesting comparison man! But, actually, isn't the filter of the shruthi analog? As far as i know It's not totally digital, but it's a hybrid synthesizer...or not?

  • @longdivision87 True, analog filter on the Shruthi. But I'm not using the filter on either synth here (max cutoff, zero resonance), just comparing the oscillators.

  • that lil digital monster has an impressive sound i must say, but it really misses the "warm" tone of the analogue synth. dunno call me a lunatic but i must say that i always found digital sound missed someting...

  • GREAT COMPARISON! love the back in forth!

  • Analogue is far more better! Digital is for shit!

  • Get both! that's what I always say.

  • How hard was it to assemble the Shruthi-1? Seems like a nice little digital beast.

  • @aikighost Pretty easy. 3 or 4 hours. Make sure you get all the resistors in the right place though, I got a couple mixed up and it took me a little while to figure it out.

  • the Dark Energy sounds way better in my opinion :)

  • ok, thanks. i'm currently looking for a low-budget and powerful synth with analog modellisation. this was quite objective and far interesting. i definitely have to get a shruthi.
