Damn Bob made the hairs on my arms stand on end! The only guy I've heard who really mastered Muddy's approach to slide. Two schools of slide playing on the stage even if we don't hear much of Derek on this one. He's in the Elmore James/Duane Allman branch that's he's taken new places. Bob's in the Muddy Waters school with Johnny Winter and others. Both are great, but Bob was on fire!
I was 7th row center. This is my favorite show ever, we can only hope the STUPID FUCKING circus d'solie show goes away so the Allmans can get back home next march.
Proud to say I'm related to him on my father's side of the family. Can't wait till he comes down to South Florida again. It's been a while since I saw him last in a small club in Fort Lauderdale in the late 90's. Blues runs through his veins.
very raw powerful aproach to slidetechnique...i enjoy the melodicaly suffisticated style of derek trucks a little more thou, his godly phrasing and very characteristic types of melodies make him my favorite in this sector.
Sounded just like Muddy playing that slide! How Bob gets that Telecaster cut from a mellow Les Paul is anybody's guess, but it's a great sound, full of feeling too.
Great J Stone Good Quality. Please can yuplaod the Vids with Sonnyy Landreth at 24 th of march. I see only the Jam session at the end of that they! That would be gREAT THnxs any way TOP!
Happy Birthday Steady Rollin' Bob Margolin!!!

Seeing Bob tonight in San Francisco with Pinetop Perkins, Elvin Bishop, Hubert Sumlin and Sugar Blue. That's gonna be one amazing blues show!
