Can anybody tell me the name of the piece of Indian music played at the scene when Darcy beating the drum? I love it . Would very much like to listen to it in full.
Tsk703, The drumming at the end, I think it represents him getting involved with her culture, which was a very prominent theme throughout the movie. Now, to add in general, it's a strict rule in Bollywood movies that kissing on the mouth is not allowed on screen or nothing at all sexual, mainly because it is part of the religion. That's why none of the couples kiss in the whole of the movie (apart Luckie and Johnny who did kiss, which shows how scandulous their so-called "relationship" was).
@FoxySpiritOfJazz the no kissing thing I think had more to do with the "Pride and Prejudice" aspect. Very few of Jane Austen's characters ever kissed in the books. It was scandalous when the BBC made an alternate ending their "Pride and Prejudice" miniseries (with Colin Firth, sigh) that had Darcy and Elizabeth kissing as they rode away after the wedding. The producers mainly did it to appease American audiences.
I bet a lot of ppl were expecting a kiss but aish wud not do that...esp. w/ an american actor so soon...its funny though bollywood is comfortable with actors doing EVERYTHING but kissing...but it was a beautiful movie
Thanx Foxy question answered.
