yeah they are very cool how often do you use it? how long will it go for after one wind up? I am trying to find out as much as i can about these and hopefully find one soon (-:
@MJDEA I run it once a month since there is no box for it. It runs a little more than 56 hours but time keeping is only guaranteed for 48 hours. If you want to learn there is a book called "The Ship's Chronometer" by Marnin E. Whitney and the government repair manual that will tell you alot. Maybe your library has the book since it is quite pricey on ebay. The manual is about $20 on Ebay. I am sure there are other good books but these are the ones I have read.

@MJDEA I paid $1000 for it. It sold on the low side because it would run for a bit then stop. I thought how bad could it be if it runs for a bit. Well it turned out to be a mess. To get it to run non stop on a full wind was a simple adjustment. But I still had to spend another $250 for parts that were worn out or damaged. It still needs a little more work but that has to be done by a pro.
@MJDEA This is currently not for sale. I used the same chronometer in all the Hamilton chronometer videos. You can find these on Ebay. That is where this one came from. You have to watch out that you don't get a bad one. Like this one was.
Ok thanks a lot I will do some searching around.
