  • what heads are u using, those sound beautiful

  • Okay...

  • @Keyboards4Ever always okey :D

  • But the bad thing is that I can't play drums while watching this.

  • watch my videos for good double bass drumming

  • okay!

  • DemonAssassin6661 its called a pillow in the drum bro

  • QUESTION!! How do u get ur bass to sound like that

  • not in this exersise, when Im playing to music..any suggestions??

  • Im having trouble with my fills while keeping my feet in time.

  • i quit

  • you missed 0:05 OK

  • Fill3 sounded great

  • nice boobs ;)

  • @toothpaste237 thats fucked up. Thanks for the good, solid advice man. keep up the good work.

  • @toothpaste237 awww well aren't you a mature fellowww

  • He is so fat haha

  • please tune my drums! lol

    p.s. what heads are those?

  • what is that for deum pedal?

  • hokey. eim a soopur cinadien

  • does he have shoes on!? lol

  • THANK YOU

  • gay!!

  • Sorry for those who like it, but it's too ahead of the clic for me...

  • @freedrumlessons , what cymbals do you have? i know they are Sabian HHX But like what models do you use?

  • hey i found this really usefull and easy to grasp thanks

  • practicing to a click track is paramount.....it's good to see someone stressing that! OK?

  • i like the one at 1:30 the best... its ok nothing amazing but good groove.

  • He is no Chris Adler

  • left right left right

  • those hhx cymbals sound ridiculously good

  • nice guitar you have there huh.

  • he made it look so friggin easy

  • Seriously? This so basic, i guess everyone who has a double kick pedal has tried this without having watched your video :P

  • @2:40 FOLLOWED THE REV

  • obviously canadian

  • Dick !!

  • this is def not how to do fills haha

  • i don't even play drums, and i am watching this..

  • @radeonwowbest why?

  • @LeechUltimata Because i love music, and i always wanted to play drums. :)

  • @radeonwowbest me 2 i know what u mean

  • how much does the mics and recording equipment cost regularly? and do you get it all together or just add on slowly?

  • u play without your heart and your soul - no real drumming

  • FUCK, definitely better as the shits roll along the dick

  • FUCK

  • "the smoother you play them the faster they'll sound"...he said that didn't he? In't that what he said there at the end? I dunno if there's a lick of logic in that but not bad for a beginner lesson vid tho.

  • good kit

    piss boring fills

+ next time get a shirt that fits

  • @surrfacing HAHA funny as fuck..

  • I wish I would have drums like him

  • I'm glad I play guitar, I can practice right in front of my computer where the video is lol

  • @A7Xskaternick Fuck off! Right?

  • I quite fail to see the purpose of matching your snare hits with the bass kicks, since the kicks just get drowned in the snare, thus adding a slight deepness to the sound thats bearly audible. Matching left right with L kick R kick has proven hard for me...meaning im still shit at it.

  • I cant beleive I been playing with a metal chair that has no ass cushion on it!

  • omg, that floor tom, gief!

  • You want a tighter shirt?

  • Ist es nicht verkehrt, wenn man das linke Pedal an das Bass Drum-Fell drückt während man mit dem rechten spielt?

    - sorry, I don't speak English -

  • 1:38 hahah those things look like marshmellows on a stick :D

  • Sic video man, I gotta try out that fill 4

  • what type of kickers

  • Really great exercises man! I recorded some that I think might be helpful, lemme know what you think! Thanks very much! /watch?v=D-PhCU8HZ-Y

  • yamaha drums??? They sound awesome... especially the bass drum...

  • @TheHighflyingHomeboy I have one! =D

  • yeah this does look like a great exercise.. i mean over time you get use to doing simple double bass beats... and before you know it your fast as hell.. then u can joint a metal band lol

  • @VMDeeJay yeah when I'm on the phone

  • @AquamanJr704 and i thought i was the only one :O

  • @VMDeeJay Ya in the morning so i dont wake anyone up

  • I don't have lesson videos but i do put up some double bass video's. check out my latest one.

  • wow this dude looks like a total fucking nice guy.

  • I really like this video! :D

  • Does running help with double bass?

  • @tyler4girlz I have heard that running does indeed help double bass playing. However, I'm not sure how much. I developed speed through lots of practice. I also have a friend whom I consider one of the best thrash metal drummers I've ever met. He's a heavy smoker and couldn't run a mile to save his life, but he has great speed with his feet simply because he's always playing and working on his chops.

You can definitely try running, though. It's great for your heart rate, if nothing else!

  • @drumbum1471 50 people like penis.

  • Comment removed

  • @VMDeeJay

    I definetely do that.

  • Thanks bro! I'm new to double bass pedals and this video really helped me a lot! :D

  • @drumbum1471 I've got one better: vagina:)

  • @VMDeeJay wtf lol why did you post that XD and yes i do

  • OKEY

  • Something about this guy which makes me want to hit puppies

  • @AdamTwidal No one hits puppies on my watch.

  • @StableD YES THEY DO! ***shakes fist***

  • @VMDeeJay True... but it's such a sad reality. Animal cruelty has no place anywhere ever. A person who could do such a thing is less than sub-human. Its close to my heart - so while I know the comments are made in jest, I cannot help but think of the truth.

  • Canadians lol

  • Comment removed

  • I think this guy works at quiznos

  • @drumbum1471 Lol 15 thumbs up

  • you can do that with a singel bass too.. :p

  • He has no personality. He must be Canadian..

  • @ldefee ...

  • How fucking long does it take any of you guys to become consistent with this shit?! I’ve been playing for about 7 months and I still fucking suck at it. It’a so irritating I just feel like throwing it away... I’ve got to the speed of Assistant to the regional manager by the devil wears prada, and I was playing it alright for a while, but after that I just lost control. How long did this shit last for ya’ll? thanks..

  • @slickvick456 I've been playing almost 30 years, and I don't feel nearly as consistent as I think I should be. It's a boring answer, but practice will smooth all that out. You came a long way in a very short time. Your returns are going to seem smaller and harder to come by now since you've knocked out the major stuff. Besides practice, the best advice I or anyone could give is always make sure you practice with a metronome or some other click track. You will be permanently f*cked otherwise.

  • @kylrathin alright thanks man. I’ll keep that in mind. Sometimes, I just take a break for a few days and get back on it...I really wonder how all those guys play shows for an hour! I can barely play like 4 songs properly in a day lol. Anywayz, thanks again, appreciate it..

  • @slickvick456 Hehe it's exhausting, I can tell you that :) I've got one coming up at Black Hearts in Chicago on March 11, they want us to go 1 hour 45 minutes. Longest I've done was 1 hour 15 minutes with craploads of talking in between songs, and I was just wrecked afterward, so this oughta be interesting. But you will get there, keep with it! Stamina and timing all come with practice. Remember, you got the hard part out of the way, the rest is cake. :)

  • @kylrathin lol yeah man. It is exhausting. That’s insane though. Good luck with the show though! I’ll keep practicing broo... thanks! I play for like half an hour everyday, but I can only play really well for a few couple songs, and suck after that. So yeah, that is completely true!

  • screw shoes

  • i dont think i've ever heard double bass used in such a wack style

  • most of these fills sound crap xD but they're good for practice I don't question it

  • malisimooooo

  • Who doesn't love to play in their socks? I've never seen Jared do that one yet.

  • @sweetness295 maybe ludwig but not pearl, look at pdp and drum workshop kit's.

very good for the money. i have a pdp platinum kit which i love more than my mum.

  • @Biffy300Clyro

i just bought a pdp fs yesterday

  • that last fill would sound awesome with a china cymbal ^^

  • Can anyone recomend a good acoustic kit around £700 ($1000)

  • @StealingClips i don't know of an exact model but i would look at pearl and ludwig

  • holy crap that base sounds so nice

  • Hello! Could someone tell me, is it easier or something to play with two bassdrums with single pedals, than with one bassdrum with double pedal?

  • @MCAmaZ Well man.. what ever feels comfortable to you. I've only played with one bass drum with a double pedal. but I'm sure if you try both and see what feels easier or most comfortable. But there's only one way to find out!

  • @MCAmaZ 2 bass drums are good for recording or touring bands (in my opinion) 2 bass drums also limit you to were your hi-hat is positioned. Having 2 single pedals / 2 bass drums, looks cooler, sounds better and is smoother, but is usually better just having one.

  • @MyScopeBroke Okay, thanks! :)

  • Kicks the hell out of expert village "one...two...Three"

  • There was no way.

  • @TheZombieRitual You have been awarded 5 Internets.

  • @dewmanrevolution I'm glad you got it.

  • he looks like that fat kid from the goonies

  • curly-headed FUCK

  • @indycolts4 step brothers!!!

  • I’m having a problem with my double pedal. I can’t play what I could two weeks ago, and it’s pretty damn annoying. Did anyone have the same problem while they got started on it? Cz I’ve been playing for 5 months now, I could play Still I Rise by Shadows Fall and now I can’t play that anymore :S. It’s weird..Any suggestions? Maybe take a break for a week or so? Thanks....

  • @slickvick456 maybe your spring tension or something kind of wiggled loose, play with the fine tuning and see what happens, thats what i would do

  • @BearGrylIs Nahh. I don’t think so man. The pedals feel the same, it’s just my leg muscles I guess..Dunno. But thanks anyway!

  • OK

  • i like how his not wearin no shoes....hehehe, i do the same thing...

  • this is cool

  • I wonder what double bass pedals he uses?

  • @Izak80 obviously...it's yamaha..ahahaa!

  • @Izak80 he uses a "Yamaha DFP9310 Double Chain Drive Double Bass Drum Pedal"

  • @TheKkrriissii Ok, are they any good, compared to Tama's Iron Cobra series for example?

  • @Izak80 sry, but i dnt know cuz i dnt have'em.

  • I want that kit! :o

  • @oOossiOo why the fuck would you want that kit? it sounds alright. but is it the coated head sound tht intrigues you? 'cause those drummers aren't that great

  • @oOossiOo yeah you can be the best drummer in the world, if you dont have a good an expensive kit you still suck xD

  • @vlaiden05 not true to be fair :L you wont suck .. it wont sound good, good drummers will have good Technique which you can see on a bad kit as well as a good one. so your statement isnt true of fair to be honest, i think you shoudl re-phrase it to (yeah you can be the best drummer in the world, if you dont have a good an expensive kit you still wont sound as good) xD

  • i love the sound

  • Thanks. Im just starting out with the double pedal, used single all my life. This will be a great starting point. And to all the experts in here bad mouthing: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! You guys are waay to cool for this page. Go to the cool guys experts page.

  • you can do that shit with a single pedal, double pedal is so over-rated unless you need it for som hardcore metal and shit...most of my favourite drummers just use a single and sound full and powerful.

  • WHAT KIND OF SET IS THIS?!?! i love it!

  • @Rhino080696 i think its a pearl set?

  • @heerbee91 yamaha

  • @Rhino080696 it's a yamaha kit dude. not sure which one though.

  • Has his voice broke yet?
