I wonder if the police know how badly they hurt their image when they don't do transperancy - the least they can do in the face of that special leeway they get for "mitigating circumstances". There have been too many horrendous cases as of late - like Abbato and that poor kid that got shot faced down and cuffed on a BART subway platform. Immediately the defensive fictions started flowing, despite video evidence indicating the opposite. It is a new day - this must change.

Real Citizens review boards should be at the federal level,, & Internal Affairs completely done away with. Internal Affairs is so police dont have to be accountable, & can do sloppy biased investigations and exonerate their cop buddies. what a fucking joke. with the history police have actually trusting them to do this is a farce, start putting the screws to cops, most have more in common with criminals than the general public, lack integrity and reversing that is crucial to the justice system
