  • a vow = a promise

a vow is not a mental prep. the definition of a vow is to make a promise!

    vow 1 (vou)

    1. An earnest promise to perform a specified act or behave in a certain manner, especially a solemn promise to live and act in accordance with the rules of a religious order: take the vows of a nun.

    2. A declaration or assertion.

    v. vowed, vow·ing, vows

    1. To promise solemnly; pledge. See Synonyms at promise.

    2. To make a pledge or threat to undertake: vowing revenge on their persecutors.

  • What about those (THE MAJORITY) that get hazed and after they cross do ZERO for the organization?

  • Hazing is part of pledging, Pledges don't deserve anything until they proved themselves, its what separates the Men from the boys

  • @StoneAgeBeatMaker651 Flawed. Possible loss of life and serious injury should not be used to separate men from the boys. If your pledges end up in the hospital, thats probably an indication that you're doing something wrong. There should be some sort of process to joining an organization, but hazing shouldn't be part of it. Hazing will be the nail in the coffin for BGLOs.

  • @prepschoolkid Theres way to haze that help bring the pledge brothers together and work as a unit, No one should end up in the hospital, Its just putting pledges in No-win situations and watching them squirm out of it, If your Fraternity doesn't haze, your a social organization

  • @StoneAgeBeatMaker651 People can be brought together without hazing. The people "pledging" others into a fraternity are barely men themselves, there brains aren't even fully developed-which means they won't exercise the best judgement. With that in mind a lot of them will end up doing stupid shit. What the NPHC needs to do is bring back pledging but put it out in the open with certain regulation and rules in place. People need to be held accountable, hazing is just another example of young

  • @prepschoolkid Obviously none of you are actually in a fraternity, So I guess you wouldn't understand, Pledging involves traditions that have been passed down the fraternity from the beginning, If you go lightly on the pledges, then your doing every single alumni disjustice for watering down pledging, All you fucking GDI's can fuck off,

  • @StoneAgeBeatMaker651 black people being violent towards each other. College educated people need to be above such barbaric behavior.

  • @StoneAgeBeatMaker651 Oh wow so this is required to be a man? Whoahhh big stuff

Its all stupid and controlling and dumb and basically prepares you for the larger Fraternal Order of Masonry. Frats and Soros are all based on pagan deities and Idolatry!

  • @zellymusic Its not required to be a man, but you have to prove yourself worthy, I don't want any fucking douchebags in my fraternity, From what you said, It doesn't look like your greek at all, So how the fuck would you know GDI?

  • Okay good question if you have that attitude to well you are not going to let your DP talk to you out of line. Does that affect your chances of being on line?

  • NF bro...

  • The word your looking for is Verb.. Not action word.

  • @speedracer601 he is looking for a lot of words! He said a vow is a mental prep? Wow nice spin on words however the real definition is

  • Thank you brother for clearing up the two. I do appreciate you making us look good on a positive note!

  • @uasgrho05 For those that have the real spirit of God he made you all look even more foolish and carnal!

  • are you apart of a greek organization?

  • very nicely put (:

  • You speak so elequently....very nice

  • getting hazed is almost like getting herbed aka getting played aka they're using you!!!!!!!

  • Not only mental but extremely spiritual.

  • Hey, this was really good can I shoot you an email for further information on what needs to be done to become apart of a black greek organization?

  • I think to separate your actions from your thoughts, or mental preparation, is dangerous, because the body and the mind are equal parts of a balanced whole.

To do something physically that your mind does not agree with is dangerous. And vice versa. I am a black pledge, I think that waking up at three forty five to get fried chicken is a physical manifestation of the commitment that you are giving. I'll do anything for my wifey!!! I'm married with two kids. Check dis.

  • @spiercemyers but aren't there more productive ways to show your commitment, because you may show that you want to be in a organization by doing something like that for a member but what are you learning from it?

  • Comment removed

  • You're handsome!!! Just had to say that!lol

  • hey is there a way i can email you?i been watchin your videos an they are very helpful. i have questions i want to ask you about this so plzz send me a msg or email or somethin.if yhu have a face book add me its corriana keekaboo maines thanks ;)

  • What's up new school, but I do not know who told you this garbage but pledging and hazing are synonymous in BGLO circles. This is a Greek thing and I know you understand. I can understand why BGLO's want people to believe this, but facts are facts. The way you make things out to be, there should just simply be open membership, the pledge is your word, right? So if you can't keep your word, then you shouldn't be a member.

  • The reality side of pledging and/or hazing is when BGLO members get caught doing either, which is growing quite common today, any of this done outside of the regional clusters, your organization will suspend the chapter, revoke your membership, and the universities possible will decharter the chapter as well as possibly kick you out of school. And if the aspirant reports the incident to the local authorities, charges can be filed

  • There is not difference. Both pledging and hazing are illegal according to the policies of the national organizations as well as the various colleges and universities.

  • You are speaking the truth. I wish BGO’s organization would wait till they get out of college so they can make a better decision on why they want to join. I believe students coming out of high school transitioning into college. Young people are just becoming into adulthood and being bombarded with something that would just confuse them.

  • dng i wish some of ur vids were 4 sororities lol

  • i like watching your vids...you are very well-spoken

  • You broke this down Perfectly cause there are way too any people using the terms pledging and hazing interchangeably when they are 2 completely different concepts

  • I know yall are not supposed to speak on this but why didnt you touch on the beatings or wood if you will? I heard many people say that they founders went through hell in the beginning, but they didn't beat each other, society did it to them. Society is still beatings us today so where did the idea of taking wood come into play? My pops pleagued the Bloody Rho Theta chapter of Omega Psi Phi in 75 and he still tells me to this day that the concept is pointless and the founders didnt want that

  • What frat do you belong to?

  • @CodieSilver He's a NUpe i believe

  • That was a good definition. WOW... That was very refreshing to hear from an actual Greek what pledging really is.
