This was news to me. The strategy of having celebrities add glamour and associate in their own padded world, away from the slave camps and the bizarre ideas never really reaching them. I wonder if the celebs for instance know the claims that there is a Suppressive Person behind ANY illness or accident. If a person dies in cancer, is injured, catches a cold, exczema etc this is caused by an SP, he must be found and disconnected from. A $imple and ready-made way of improving your everyday life.
When I was studying toward my Theology PhD I was exposed to many different religions and spiritual beliefs, from the Theocracies of the Middle East to a small group of people in your adopted hometown who believed in an agricultural form of Buddhism, and my definition of "Cult" became as black and white as yours, Tory. If you can't know what the other side thinks and feels and you aren't allowed to ask why, you are in a cult.
C of $ is actually more insidious than drowning a man slowly. At least there one *knows* the pain. In the cult, one keeps at it, thinking those around you are telling the truth, that it DOES work, for all but you. It's quite a shock to find out how many people this is false for.
I've been in sales and marketing for most of my adult life. I never made any money as a Scientologist, except a few W.I.S.E. Companies I worked for---both who ended up screwing me royally. Harvey Schmadekie did the worst, with Dan Owen, and Harvey (OT 8) died last year while diving.
I still work in sales, and yes, I grew up with parents who were successful. They were wealthy. I'm wealthy in spirit :)

that the loaded language of $ci speak has words that really are redefined to mean or say entirely the exact opposite. I think that the language thing is one of the toughest things to straighten out for folks who are in the process of reclaiming their own lives, getting back in touch with what it is that *they* think and believe, feeling safe to have their own opinions, even if they are not "in agreement" with anybody.

Also, if you ever ask for proof while "in", you're sent to "Ethics": Asking for proof proves you must be questioning, thus you must be connected to an SP (Suppressive Person---people who Know the facts those "In" are not allowed to learn). What a trap!
Note: Scientologists "in" will say the above is false, they can question any thing, they "Just don't choose to". The bottom line is what someone asked me, years ago, and it seriously helped in my waking up: "IF you're "Free", why can't you read a book?" They can say they can, but I KNEW we couldn't read 'certain' books. Once I left, I found out why: They have the exact facts that IF you knew when "in", you'd never stay.
No-one can *know* anything with complete certainty even when they have experimental proof. Scientologists *know* nothing except that an old hippy con-man called Hubbard hashed together a lot of half-digested ideas and claimed they were true. Belief in Hubbard also requires an act of faith. With the difference that Hubbard was not a priest or holy man but a cynical charlatan who manipulated people and their beliefs to make money. And he made millions.
Apparently Posh Spice is already in. I was watching one of XenuSmurf videos, and I caught the security guard who gets kinda friendly with Smurf named (Andy Knapp) leak that Posh spice was at one of there buildings already. This was months and months ago.

No-one can *know* anything with complete certainty even when they have experimental proof. Scientologists *know* nothing except that an old hippy con-man called Hubbard hashed together a lot of half-digested ideas and claimed they were true. Belief in Hubbard also requires an act of faith. With the difference that Hubbard was not a priest or holy man but a cynical charlatan who manipulated people and their beliefs to make money. And he made millions.

Apparently Posh Spice is already in. I was watching one of XenuSmurf videos, and I caught the security guard who gets kinda friendly with Smurf named (Andy Knapp) leak that Posh spice was at one of there buildings already. This was months and months ago.
