I've been looking for a video with an english translation of the lyrics. I first saw Samurai Champloo when I was about 16 and I was going through a really hard time in my life.

After reading the lyrics, it makes me think maybe it's significance is in the fact that Mugen has been so consumed by killing that he has missed or forgotten the beauty of life, which he and (we) are reminded of through this song. I don't feel afraid when I hear this.

This song is really good I love her voice its so wow. I listened to this whith my eyes closed while leaning on a pillow and all these thoughts came to me all the stuff i wish could happen. Obokuri-Eeumi are Ryukyu-Amamian folk songs, "Shima-uta"

(Shima-uta is not Ryukyu-Okinawan folk songs.)

"Obokuri" in old Ryukyu-Amamian Language.

Obokuri means "Thank you".
