She looks good, very good. Both my son and daughter started TKD at age 4 and got their 1st Dans at age 6, but there was no fanfare. She won 4 National Championships by age 12, and many State and Regional Championships. He is also a National Champion and muli-time State and Regional Champion. She's now a third degree and he a fourth. My point is...encourage her to stick with it, don't quit. She has a great, successful future ahead of her. Kicks, 4th Dan.

WHAT the FUCK, black belts show a mastery of all the basics of particular martial art. Many belts wont be given until after a certain age such as 16. Do you really think your kid deserves a BLACK BELT??? No one, I mean it, NO ONE has mastered a martial art by 6. STRENGTH IS A PREREQUISITE. She's adorable but wtf, just wait to award belts until they are deserved, don't just try to burn through them as fast as possible. I got a black belt in self defense (informal jkd) and it meant nothing. STSNR

Do you know what a first degree black belt is called? It's Cho Dan, which means first level. It's actually the beginning of your trainning towards mastering the art. A Cho Dan is not a Master. Some schools rank 4th Dans as Masters, other wait untill 5th Dan. So don't think that a 1st Dan is a master. Instead he has only completed the fundamentals of his art. He, however, should be skillful enough to defend himself against someone within a legiment range of his age, weight, and size.
