Sounds like you came off the throttle when the back went out, resulting in the snap back? hard thing to convince yourself to stamp on the throttle when the car slides but in a RWD its a must, check out my recent incident that thankfully i saved (notice the power on when the car slides)

Alot of one hand driving,perhaps u should get into a habit of having 2 hands on the wheel unless u change gear, one day somethings going to happen and your going to need fast reaction,,u may have been lucky this time,but that car looks as if it can bite without any warning and by the time its happened its to late..2 hands is better than one at high speed

Damn, how bad was the damage? Hope it's just a front wing/ bumper and everything else is good. :)
