you gotta be stealthy. Overall at all the concerts I've been to this year I have barely been touched. The trick is to have a rope attached to your camera and rap it around the button of your pants and have the camera hang down in your crotch. They can't pat down your crotch. It also seems like they've been getting lazier on patting down the last couple of years.

We were at this show, when we got to the gate security checked our bag and let us take in a Nikon D50 with telephoto lens.

I think your just lucky, Did the guy see the camera? he either didn't care or didn't see it. It all depends on who is checking you.
