This movie is excellent, very touching!! Too bad that the actor Sergey Bodrov Jr. died on an avalanche at the North Ossetia mountains in 2002.

I come to tears everytime at this part.... so powerful. I watch my DVD every 6 months to a year. One of the best movies ever.

Great movie, one of my favourites. When I saw it for the first time it kicked me awake although it was very late. I could not shut the TV off. Very strong and human, I think it is based on Pushkins story. Oleg Mesikov is always so charming :o)
