Thanks for the comments guys. Yea the car was in pvw in the back. The wheels I found used on a forum. Cleaned them up bought new lips and polished them. The car has headers and an exhaust dump that dumps out just past the axle. It isnt just a straight pipe.

@Th3B1ackDeath If you want a VR, get a 24v, its the only one worth your time, and be ready for maintenance. Any good high performing engine needs maintenance (which costs $ if you dont do the work yourself)- IF you drive the thing like its supposed to be driven. If you drive like a bitch and check up on your VR regularily and don't mod it, it'll last just as long as any other engine.

It's a Jetta, but just in the USA... The Jetta MK4 is called Bora, and the Jetta MK3 called Vento in europe, and I think in Mexico too

Boras arent AWD. The only MK3 that is AWD (and im not sure if its even mk3, and not mk2) is the passat synchro. there has never been an AWD jetta. The Bora in europe is a VR6 in north america, the jetta in europe is called a vento.

Thanks for all the comments guys. At this time the car had an electronic exhaust dump and custom headers. So basically it was running no exhaust. The mods at that time were NA vr6 with cams chip headers intake. Those wheels are 3pc ARE wheels and are 16x8. Check out the video responses for what my car is now. Its now a supercharged 2.9 vr6. There should be a complete mod list on the video responses. Thanks again for all the comments.

word. tires are your main concern. windshield 2nd, out here in ca you can get a ticket for a cracked windshield. i dont know where your at though. you dont even need exhaust in the 2.slow. just grab the wheels and tires instead of exhaust. the 8v is everyones daily beater :D

im in washington state, the windshield aint bad, its got cracks across a bit, but u cant feel it on the other side, not even on the outside, its like in the middle part. my tires are bald, i bought the car and it wasnt running, paid 130bucks, got some sensors and wires fixed and runs awesome now..but winter is pretty much here and i spun the tires in 2nd gear last night which def means new tires haha
