Government can be abusive too.Back in the thirties blacks were left untreated with syphilis to study the effect of the disease when a treatment was available.Eugenics was also practice and people involuntarily sterilize.There are many instances like this. Tell me bigtex501, What specifically is wrong with a Single Payer Health Care System.? I have friends and relatives in Canada and everyone of them laughs at me if I ask them "Would you trade your Health Care System for ours"? By the way our neighbors to the north have a Life Expectancy that is 2.7 years greater than ours. Statistically that's a significant difference. Also, no one in Canada declares bankruptcy over Health Care. In the US 70% of bankruptcies are related to Health Care issues.

Canada... they have government run health care so like here in the U.S., you CAN'T claim taxes or payments due to the government on a B.K.

And keep in mind.. Canada has far more TAXATION to pay for this National Health Care program!
