  • You mean "Samson". I agree with you Sister, we should embrace the hair that God has given us. We should not allow anyone to make us feel ashame of who we are. I have a short afro, and love it.

  • I am so blessed to have a mother that has been natural all her life and finally I have caught up and am natural now and loving it!

  • "GLUE THAT HAT ON FOREVER"---I was laughing so hard. You made my day. Thank you for your truths and keep em coming.

  • Thank you for this video my mother gets on me for wearing my natural hair to work. She claims it is unprofessional. I do not have the personality to wear natural hair so I must always put a wig on.

  • @CallMeNat100 "Just glue the hat to ya head".....LOL that had me rolling too!!

  • I have never seen your videos before, but this was so great. I laughed so much, and can agree with what you said. Thank you.

  • lol man you had me laughing .! with the split end crap haha

  • your son was wilding out " I gotta BooBoo" your reaction was priceless, like " No he didn't just broadcast that". They are honest to a fault gurl, too cute

  • glue that hat on! XD

  • Thank You, I can relate to your comment and for educating.

  • "That one split end...." I DIED laughing.

  • White society? Way to single out one ethnicity, just as it has been done to you...

  • Her son asked me if I was gay when I did my BC! lol! So damn ignorant!! But my family was very supportive! You just keep educating people! Even thou some ppls hair looks a mess 2 us when they come out outside, thats still our opinion. Rastas cant unmat their locs, its their religion. Yes our natural hair journee's (my grand daughter's name-lol) are a movement!! When I watch commercials I am amazed @ the # of natural blk women in commercials! We are changing the world!!!

  • Wow! This is deep! I can see how upset u are abt the negative comments! For me in the New Jersey/New York and in Maryland where I moved to I get more positive comments from older black men! They absolutely LOVE my natural hair! Sometimes if I go out w/ my BAA (BIG ASS AFRO), I either ketch them staring w/ a big ass smile on their faces. Or they are coming up to me saying "How you doing sistah? Whew! "U r workin that fro!" etc. I have gotten only 1 neg comment fr an older blk women.

  • The slavemaster used to call our hair dreadful because our kinky curly coily texture. Slaves did not have combs or products to maintain there head and as a result "locing" our hair was the only logical option. Thats how the word DREADS came about...you should call them locs....

  • @kiwi856 why thank u so much for that history lesson!!

  • "wow, u need to put a hat on - forever! lol

i feel u on this vid tho!

  • Amen! I went natural eight years ago and I can not count the number of negative commnets that I got from family members. My sister even asked me if I was gay? because of my hair! Really people! I am not my hair. It frustrates and pains me to see the lack of understanding and acceptence of our own natural hair.

  • I totally get what you mean. My sister's hair wasn't looking ragged this morning when my mother was trippin on her hair. I spent 2 episodes of America's Next Top Model yesterday...thats 2 hrs twisting her hair and her twist out came out with these luscious, shiny curls. My mom BEGGED my sister not to wear her natural hair to work. " No, No! Please, your hair looks like a zulu's head."

I respect and honor my mother and her opinions but...when are we going to start loving our hair??
