Kurt Knispel, the best tank commander of all time. 168 kills but he often gave his kills to others so it could be much higher, really nice of him. He started as a loader and ranked to commander with time, he really worked his way up. Since he wasnt a nazi and was in the normal army:Wehrmacht, the Nazi leaders didnt gave him all medals and stuff he should have had due to it, MW was in SS and nazi and therefore was more known in media and got much more medals but he wasnt the best, that was Kurt!
Was there any Ally Tank Commander that got over 100 kills? i heard there was some British one that had like a little over 70 but thats the highest i have heard
@Gramercy72 Well, the american tank commanders received medals for destroying 10 german tanks. The germans were considered aces for destroying 100+ american tanks.
@danielcrs8 you have to put thing in perspective though.. German tanks where much better than the tanks US/UK forces had.
It seems likely that british tanks might have had more tank to tank kills than the US, considering that the brits had the Firefly with the 17 pounder - which has been described to be as good as the german 88", in some conditions, even better". Ofc, still no armour, and a long way behind the germans, but firefly was much better than other US/UK tanks
I think any Allied commander would need a medal just to drive those death traps in the line of fire let alone lock horns with a Tiger.LOL
Seriously only the Russians had any decent armor to rack up high kill ratio's were as US and Commonwealth relied on ambushing to the rear but if any one can name an Allied tank ace I would love vto read up on him but as one German tank ace said he only feared the Typhoon.
makes me proud all the brave souls in a horrific war ..... god bless all soldiers and there familes no matter what side of the bullshit were on ......
831 amber yes they were thrown back...but at a cost of 4 to 1 (4 russian rapists) to every 1 german murderer....It cost Russia 17 million soldiers (and civilians) to create a society that was a worse hell then what the 1917 revolution had already put on that God forsaken country....Russia may have won the big battles...but Germany won the war
831 amber es they were thrown back...but at a cost of 4 to 1 and then their fearless leader (STALIN) killed another 3 million...thank christ nazi germany was defeated..but DAMN we should have taken out the socilist's too
I hate the NAZI way of life...but the german soldier, fighting for his love of country is something all ppl could take a lesson from.....I mean that they fought for love of country..not gov't....and 99% of all german soldiers fought for belief..not genocide
great generals need luck and fuel also sufficient amunition and supply... comparing rommel with other generals through the centuries i would say that he was limiited.. his star was short with or without fuel support.. its simple to understand that the territory you fight must be always open and friendly and that can not last if you face other big armies stubborn to defeat you..
look as far as I have been able to verify from 1,001 sources is that the naziz were just torn to pieces by the russians. I thiught that was great. Some of it was accomplished with american gear , but not all. The T-34´s outperformed the german bmw´s mercedes etc .BANG take that you dumb nazi kraut shit. Hey and what aboiut that stalin organ ? I meant his rockte launcher . wasn´t that a great little piece of work ? I thought so.
@prbpngtcpbd wrong dude. i remind you, you entered the war with germans only in the last year of war. what a courage! and, just to know, not the russians or the americans kicked germans ass. the russian winter did it...
@danielcrs8 last year of the war are you dreaming...when the b-17's were bombing your filty cities it wasn't the last year of the war....did you get branwashed growing up in germany visit Frankfurt am main sometime!!!!
@prbpngtcpbd I refer at the important battles. 6 June 1944 - May 1945. The only thing that americans deserve respect for was that they made the german army to retreat from Kursk to defend Sicily. And i also hope you remember Dresden, Hiroshima, Nagasaki and many other "courage" acts.
@arnaldodacomando ok here is the thing the U.S. dropped those bombs so nobody had to lose alot of people. So,would u rather millions of people getting killed compared to losing around 50,000 people?
@arnaldodacomandoI Pearl Harbor was a pussy move and of Hitler would have got the bomb before the US he would have used it probally on the Russians. If Hitler would have kept his ass out of the eastern front the Riech would have lasted a lot longer! The Germans beat thier selfs building quility tanks over quintity.
@derail6969 Are you kidding me. Germany was at war with 56 countries if it was a 1 vs 1 Germany would have being victorious vs the USSR. And Hitler had to attack the Russians as they were also preparing for an invasion of Germany.
@arnaldodacomando russua suffered heavy casualties from operation barbarossa. more than 21000 aircrafts were and 20000 tanks which were prepared by the USSR to invade germany was destroyed during barbarossa
@Hellstromist instead of invading Russia Germany should have just played it defensively on the eastern front even if Russia was getting ready to invade Germany that way they would have had a bigger advantage by being dug in.
@arnaldodacomando There is some truth in that. Another truth is June 6th could and maybe should have failed. The Allies took advantage of Hitler's distrust of his own officers. If he had listened to those who understand what was about to happen then there is a strong chance the invasion would have been pushed back.
@arnaldodacomando russua suffered heavy casualties from operation barbarossa. more than 21000 aircrafts and 20000 tanks which were prepared by the USSR to invade germany was destroyed during barbarossa

@danielcrs8 Don't kid yourself, the russians did kick the german's arses. They may have had to sacrifice 3 or 4 for every german but they did it. Dont be an idiot and say the russian winter defeated the germans. The Russians were fighting under the same conditions as the Germans and won during the winter campaigns. Its like trying to say it's only fair to fight during the summer. The simple truth is Germany was crushed by all of the allies and you can't deny that, end of story.
@danielcrs8 Well, Aren't tactics part of war? Germany mad several tactical errors. The first of which was taking Italy as an ally. The second was attacking Russia and believing Japan would attack Russia. Those are tactical mistakes that will cost you a war. If Hitler was not such an idiot then Germany may have forced a treaty of sorts with the United States. Italy was Hitler's blunder, the Allies just forced his hand.
@prbpngtcpbd Germany lost 75 % of its army in Russia. Russian Casulties 15,000,000 compared to roughly 400,000 American casulties in Europe. Germans were always outnumberd and out supplied yet what they achievied basically aganst the whole world is remarkable.
@prbpngtcpbd Dude, u dint bomb the cities, the British did with ur planes. I just love Deutschland for its tactics and commanders, not for the nazis and all that retarded shit. Germans kicked ass alone, Italy scrwed it up in North Africa and Japan screwd it up in the Pacific
@danielcrs8 I'm pretty sure that Germany being at war with most of the world was its downfall one on one germany would have crushed anybody including the americans and russians.
You moron. Germany was already loosing due to the Russian winter, and Russia's numbers. USA really did nothing. Russia had already won. If they had taken Germany before you guys everyone would have fallen back to defend Germany leaving western Europe open to Britain and Canada who had been fighting it for years. During ww2 Germany's tanks, troops, and weapons were far superior to anything the allies had. Bad planning and numbers is what took them down.
It's too bad that they had to lose. Their amazing machines were so complicated it was difficult to replace or restore lost assets. Germany is a marvelous war machine, but it lacked many economic resources needed for a long war that went to the extent of seeing the most massive invasions in human history.

Thinking about it, if they never attcked Britain, they would've saved so much air power, which in turned would have been critical stopping power against the invading Allies. And there was also their very costly war with Russia and the Resistance groups all over occupied Europe. They were stretched too thin, making it the perfect moment for an invasion from almost every direction.
