I think everyone commenting here can agree that this is a great song- and that hte beauty of music is that there are many different people with different styles so that everyone can find a version of a song they like. Both Browne and Zevon are musical heroes to someone as they were to eachother- so let's respect eachother's differences and if necessary; agree to disagree peacefully.
Jackson and Warren may have been very different, unique human beings- but both were the greatest of friends sharing music nad memories together as The Offender and The Pretender-Zevon and Browne- two famous, talented; but very different musicians- put aside their differences played eachtoehr's songs, contributed to each-other's work-and formed a lasting friednship; then why can't we- ordinary people in the world- follow in their footsteps and put aside our differences for the sake of music.
Hey, this is great but it's not Jackson Browne playing a Warren Zevon cover. They cowrote this song. Just as Browne cowrote Take It Easy with Glenn Frey. I miss Warren but I keep him in my heart.

Agree that I love Zevon's version, with Browne as one of the Gentlemen Boys singing background.

Very nice. I am unabashedly biased, and like WZ's original better, but Jackson does it justice.

WZ and JB collaborated on a lot of music in the 70's .
They're both fantastic songwriters in their own right.
Browne is a genius!

Thanks for this! I've never heard him do this before. It's usually just the 3 main
Warren Staples. This was really good.
