@YouthfulSoul87 It's not the size that makes a better aircraft, it's the technology engineering and materials used to make it and the efficiency and technical simplicity with which it operates.
This aircraft is the next generation of airliners. this is a huge leap, under the hood the 787 is the most advanced machine built for commercial aviation yet, no bleed air system is the biggest leap in commercial aviation technology in many decades. not to mention the mostly composite construction.
@guitarguy2596 you know what... I dont know lol... all i can think of is that its better looking than the A380 and that its packed with computers and other modern high tech equipment.... I wanna go back to the days of the tristar and 727s :(.
@guitarguy2596 Its special because its made out of composite and has great fuel mileage so it can go great distances without having to refuel. Besides its not that small, its actually pretty big and lets not all forget, its Boeing so its awesome :D
@guitarguy2596 It's 20% more fuel efficient compared to other planes with the same size. The inside is re-designed completely to give customers a better experience.
this is exactly what we need...bigger , faster planes that are able to kill significantly more passengers when they crash...as they most certainly will.
Now...if we can only pack them full of Government officials.....

@isokessu Its a news story for the people who have a love for aviation, like me. The Boeing 787 is a next generation airliner, bringing new technology unseen in other airliners.
@TheTruthHurtsYup Those are competitive RALLY racers. How would you be able to compare them to drifters on the STREETS? Having lived in Yokohama for over 20 years, I think I know what I'm talking about.
@chsieh27 Lol, you definitely have not watched any WRC, they drift the streets hardcore my friend. Drifting just on the streets does not make you the best drifters in the world. When they can go from street to mud to dirt to a mix of all in one at over 100mph with inches to spare and people standing right on the sidelines let me know. Thanks.
@TheTruthHurtsYup You're correct, I have not watched any WRC, but drifting has it's roots in Japan, on the streets, with Keiichi Tsuchiya's AE86. The "westernized" form of drifting shown in WRC is far from the original roots of drifting. If you search "tanso (単走) drift" in YouTube, you will see a close representation of original drifting, not WRC "drifting." Or enter this into YouTube /watch%3Fv=YzKyKxNR_wE. I am not here to argue with you, in any way
Please visit my channel for the unpopular truth about homosexuality.
A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption and homosexual attraction / behavior / marriage / adoption. Even non-religious people know this.
Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have succeeded at framing themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.
Nice but it's not the first 787 landing in Japan. That event happened in July.
Test 787 serial ZA002 was in Japan over the summer to do testing and various unofficial flights. It was very busy when it was in Japan.
THIS landing is just the first landing after ANA took ownership. Which is good but not the same as first-first. Just like Armstrong was THE first on the moon and everybody else was not first, this landing was not first.
@LastEmperor28 How do ignorant close minded lowlife fuckasses like you even stay alive with that shitbrain you have? ROFLMAO FAIL now do the world a favor go jump into a wood chipper
@nadoeloiskat Actually, the development of a carbon fiber plane is industry-changing. Flying cars can't be made without a propulsion system that won't be too heavy for a chassis the size of a family car.
@incognito217 There was a Nova episode a few years ago (featuring Click and Clack of NPR Car Talk) where they showed a factory doing research in carbon fiber for cars. It's incredibly light and tougher than steel. Unfortunately, it's still very expensive to make.
@nadoeloiskat There was a flying car in the early 1970s. It was a hybrid of a Cessna Skymaster and a Ford Pinto. Unfortunately, the prototype was badly designed and poorly implemented, and the designer and the pilot were killed when the prototype crashed in 1973. Look up AVE Mizar.
@nourizu No, you didn't... Several older generations did. I am american, but I recognize that many people are like you... Shallow in thought and knowledge.
@elkkid2 It's hard to make anything when American companies keep sending the manufacturing jobs overseas and the CEOs pay themselves outrageous bonuses with the savings.
@Howrrang if you knew much about the aviation world, it is a big deal.
Basically: The engines are quieter by ALOT and the wing and fuselage design are made of special plastic and the wing flex is high which makes this plane VERY fuel efficient.
cessna is better than that

what so good about this plane? It's by far one of the smaller commercial aircraft, so what does it do that makes it special.

yup. carbon fiber will revolutionize the aviation industry, with new and exciting ways for passengers and staff to die unexpectedly.
fortunately, with the advent of Mortality Swaps and Catastrophe Bonds, the hedge fund and investment bank community will be read to make a profit.
