im a hip hop head and am part of a concious hip hop group that knows are music was bred from jazz and blues. how cant you love this music. I wish i still had my sax
@busessuck1 Here's what I found: Louis Armstrong And His Orchestra December 13, 1929, New York, NY Rockin' Chair (Carmichael, Hoagy) [master W.403496-A] -- OKeh 8756 Rockin' Chair (Carmichael, Hoagy) [master W.403496-C] -- OKeh 8756 Armstrong, Louis (Trumpet, Vocal) Carmichael, Hoagy (Vocal) Johnson, Otis (Trumpet) Allen, Henry Red (Trumpet) Higginbotham, J.C. (Trombone) Nicholas, Albert (Clarinet, Alto Saxophone) Holmes, Charlie (Clarinet, Alto Saxophone)
@TheReturnOfStephan1 It might've been Carmichael singing but I didn't recognise him - it sounded more like one of the Duke Ellington Orchestra singers
I went to a Dixieland festival in Friday Harbor when I was a kid with my Dad and he bought a tape of Dixieland Greats with this version of this song on it. Thank you seems not enoughtto show you how much I appreciate hearing this in this version again.

When I was a kid I saw these two great musicians perform, and was about 15 feet from them as they did so. What an experience!
