I've got a foolproof method if you have a jailbroken itouch or iphone. Just remove the launch daemons (there are videos on youtube explaining it) that are recommended and remember to remove the "com.apple.AdminLite.plist" file. This daemon exits out of apps that it thinks have been running too long without response. I have tested it multiple times without this daemon and it works every time now!

this vid helps but i have a different way. after updating app. make ur iphone/ipod touch to safe mode. this is the only way i get less crashes btw u need jailbroken device if u want 2 exit safe mode
