MAJOR Studio Changes Ahead - The NeKo

I was amped up to hear about a new studio toy when I saw this so I went and checked out the new Neko and... I'm not a fan of it at all. It's a $4k studio downgrade. Weak processor, not a full 81 keys, smaller screen (and only 1), ONLY 4 INPUTS... I like the idea for travel purposes but its still bigger than taking my laptop(w/ i7 & Nuendo + plugins & other software), Axiom, and a Presonus interface with me when I travel so that's not an upgrade there either... Not hatin on it. Sell me on it.

Just about. I have a few items left. I have a buyer for the mpc who is supposed to pay me this weekend. I am letting it go for $550. The ASR-10 rack is still for sale too for $500 plus I throw in a SCSI zip drive with it.

That's correct. The LX5 is a super duper computer with keys attached that is made specifically for creating music.

Hey Nicole! Yes, I will be using FL Studio for sequencing using the NeKo's vsti's for sounds and exporting to Reaper for mixing. Great to hear from you! I wondered where you been hiding.

Good for you that you are getting the Neko. It looks ok but it doesn't interest me that much. I'm much more a multiple board kind of guy :p

(PS: I love cables too, once the new studio is open, the 32 channel board alone will have about 72 cables popping out of the back :p)

hey i was wondering, when u Mimik your motif rack could you put up a video of u doing so. i have a Motif rack XS & i plan on getting a miko real soon. i would just like to see how you set up the mimk sotfwear before u sample you motif and i would like to see how the sampled motif sounds compare to the the actual motif sounds. i seen the video they have on the site but i would like a more indept video if possible. but i would really appreciate if you could do this,
