@gerhardhg I was making accusations. I accuse Rendier of exaggeration. I know the crime rate is way off scale but he lives in a safe area, a beautiful spot overlooking the beach and the ocean. Maybe he makes a habit of driving or strolling through the townships late at night, I dont know, but there's no way he was held up five times. Why embellish or exaggerate to make a point, its unnecessary, let the high crime rates speak for themselves.

A political party capable in delivering a competent, non-racial progressive Sth Africa in my honest opinion, has to be the Democratic Alliance (DA) - Their support has significantly increased with a 50% growth in the national election 09. The official opposition to the ANC. Winning back the governing seat of the Western Cape. A liberal but stern political party best suited to tackling Sth Africa's many issues without the corruptive, ignorance & backwardness of the ANC's ideology and policy.

Agreed, Dubs. Helen Zille, in my eyes, is the only real viable alternative. She would do an incredible job of leading the country under the DA. The problem is, of course, the colour of her skin. The masses would never agree to have a white person as president (ever again).

During the negotiations prior to the 1994 election. A power sharing system was proposed, in which the old skills could be retained and all stakeholders would have a say. However Mandela would not hear of it, an insisted on an election, where he knew the ANC could take all power. Unity was never his goal. Recall that the day he was released, he said the armed struggle will continue until they get what they want.

A white leader wil take care of whites (Just wHat black leaders do, takin care oF blacks ..atleast from the view-point of most white south africans) So to solve this I suggest, Lets put a coloured President..they' brothers to both black & white half white half black know wht I mean, things will be fair & square from then on.. 5o/5o
