Technically speaking YES Rebecca Caine is vocally superior, Just ask any classically trained singer, opera singer & they will lay it out for you. You can like Brightmans voice better as millions do since there is no accounting for taste but technically Brightman is not even in the same league as Rebecca Caine who is a classically trained opera singer & has sung in opera stages across the globe & has played parts Brightman can't even attempt at portraying.

i understand but being able to sing (for example) the high e in full chest but sound like ur shitting a brick makes her voice sound bad....so if it is a matter of science rebecca is but a matter of sound Sarah has to be...and it isnt as if Sarah isnt trained...more popular and has better control

Yeah, I guess I should know better than to come to a Brightman video & say such words considering there are probably a gazillion of her fans waiting in the wings. However, since I adore Caine's Christine whenever I see a comment about her I have to post to either agree or to rebuttal. I guess you can say I am as passionate about Caine's Christine as you are with Brightman's. Cheers.

I think she really does sound like Emmy Rossum, especially in Think of Me and The Phantom of the Opera.

There is a comparison, because there is no real "mark" in music.

People may think Caine is superior, Brightman is superior, or even Rossum. But there's no real saying to another person with another preference "mine is vocally superior".

I did state "tastes differ" & "is subjective". IMO however, I fail to see how a full blown operatic Lyric soprano like Rebecca Caine who's voice is huge, with rich, dark tones & has played the lead to much acclaim in countless operas can sound even remotely like a 16 year old with a light though pretty but still not fully trained soprano. Brightman having the same light overtones is a better comparison IMO & I will never state another persons opinion's not valid I'm just stating mine.

You were saying it in a very commanding manner, such that it makes Sarah appear very, very inferior to Rebecca, when in reality many people don't feel that way.

It's not FACT that Rebecca is "vocally better" than Sarah; It's opinion. Which is why I've always put "in my opinion", "I think" and similar in my posts on this video.

And really, there's no explaining some things. I just FEEL that Rebecca SOUNDS like Emmy, in her tone and expressions.

Honestly, Sarah fits the part much better, than Rebecca(in my opinion, lol) because she doesn't have the classically trained opera voice. In fact, she has the most unique voice I have ever heard, this is why the Phantom chooses her. Because it is like no other voice he has heard. And, agai in my opinion, this is why there has yet to be a Christine that lives up to Sarah, because all of the other singers are a dime a dozen, no one, not even Emmy has been able to capture this.

I disagree again. I think Rebecca, although superior in acting skills, her voice just simply doesn't have that special tone for me. She sounds like a trained Emmy Rossum, in my opinion. Sarah, however, has this very unique tone in her voice that makes her my absolute favourite.
