@scoutcollins Johnny Marr is an amazing guitar player. The Smiths wouldn't have made it without him. That being said, R.E.M. is a better band than the smiths in my opinion

Man, Buck's guitar playing is just amazing. Every time I hear an old R.E.M. recording, I notice something different about the sound of his guitar. I haven't heard any other guitarist who can pick the strings the way he does.
