People have not generally had good luck with song on Idol. Carmen Raspusen, Mikaylah Gordon, and Karen all three sang it and were all voted off the week they sang it. Karen had the best version of this song.

If only the title wasn't "Idol" then Fox wouldn't have to allow the audience, which is comprised mostly of morons to vote. It's better if the judges did it on their own. Over the years people have always gotten screwed and this year, if idiots like Stefano Langone, Jacob Lusk or Thia Megia even made it close to the Top 3, I probably would've shot myself in the mouth. There's so many people this season Karen Rodriguezshould've outlasted.

@Mr1131988 if audience wasnt alowed to vote they wouldnt make much money would they, and thia didnt come close to the top three. Karen was a really good singer and she should have listened but people like different things and she obviously didnt have as much fans as the others.

@dickinson509 Uhm they still would make a shit load of money coz it will still be the highest rated show on earth. It's very simplistic. Any idiot can understand the concept. And I only said IF Thia, Stefano or Jacob made it to the top 3 which isn't the case now of course. All I'm saying is fan votes are too risky if you claim to be looking for a superstar coz most of the time it never worked. Did anyone really think Kris Allen or Lee DeWyze could sell records or win Grammys? Please!

@dickinson509 Well I was rooting for James Durbin so I don't really have to argue for Karen Rodriguez other than I feel like she could've done more than some of the others. Maybe they should do a 50-50 thing with judges and America votes like 'Dancing with the Stars'. That way, there won't ever be another Kris Allen or Lee Dewyze and rare talents like Adam Lambert and Chris Daughtry wouldn't have been screwed. Oh well...

People have to realize that American Idol's not really about talent anymore. Sure the talent plays a part but mostly, its a popularity contest sad to say. Not saying she should have won, since there are better singers there, but she could have gone longer there. But because she's not TOO appealing to the public. She got the least number of votes and was let go. *shrugs*
