I think the economy is doing just fine. I think if ANYTHING Harper knows whats going on when it comes to the economy. Thats his strength. I remember the different treatments this story got. CBC you get a low angle shot of a mass of protesters, crowd control fencing, a major happening. As for the "just like a tory" comment, start living away from Daddy with a career and see just how many tens of thousands of dollars you lose in taxes/yr for scum of the earth criminals (who, have quicker healthcare than the average, law abiding tax payer). Is it any wonder why the majority of leftie-green party members are low-earners under 25 (less taxes)? While the majority of tory voters are older high-earning taxpayers (tens of thousands a year?).

I think the economy is doing just fine. I think if ANYTHING Harper knows whats going on when it comes to the economy. Thats his strength. And thats bullshit about our economy being "based" on just one thing. Canada has an extremely diverse economy, which, under un-realistic green party policies would DEFINATLEY flounder in Canada. Resulting in high operating costs for foreign investment, and MORE outsourcing from nations that don't have so much red, or "green" tape. (ie, China).

BoredomCorner, ASIDE from Weed and the Environment, does the Green Party REALLY have any ideas for this nation? Ask Elizabeth May about her stance on crime, economy, foreign relations and SO many other aspects of Canadian politics and it will SOME HOW wind up back on the environment.
Yeah, the earth is in trauma, but so is humanity...and I just don't think the greens deliver.

This may take a couple of posts...
1) Harper has broken his own fixed-date election law because he is unwilling to work with the opposition. 2) He endorsed Bill C-10, a thinly veiled attempt at quiet censorship. 3) His party has told members to not testify at hearings (which would be a crime if they were actual trials). 4)His office dictates exactly what the media and public can hear at any time. 5) He personally tried to block a legitimate party leader from electoral debates.

Phew, now onto the other points... Our economy is based on manufacturing technology that is simply unsustainable (namely gas-guzzling vehicle engines). If we don't wake up to the fact that fuel prices make this impractical, then we're screwed. Period.
And BTW I haven't seen much to suggest that they endorse weed, at least any more than the Liberals or NDP do.
And one last thing, it's nice to see that you are so intolerant of dissent that you don't want my video response. Just like a Tory.

Great, thunderflash82 is just another whiney "the world is out to get us" right winger. If you actually listened to everything, and not just what you wanted to hear, you would hear the CBC do their share of Liberal bashing too. I hear it AND I even voted for Harper in the last election. The bottom line is the CBC is not as bias as those corporate news organizations like CNN and FOX. We are lucky to have the coverage and news they provide us with! (unless you think Paris Hilton is major news!)

What's the point in funding more than $1 billion of tax payers money towards a media outlet when we access to as much media as we do today? Oh by the way, CBC is with out a doubt left-wing. As for the Liberal bashing, well there are some pro-NDPers at CBC too.

Oh, we're fed that? Is that why Stephen Harper has essentially told the far right members of his party to shut up about abortion and gay marriage? Seriously, Stephen Harper hasn't made it an issue, the media hasn't brought up either of those two issues, and the only person who HAS made it an issue was Dion, who asked Harper to restate his opinion on those two issues.
There are many different political parties to reflect many different political opinions. Go vote for one of them you fool.

Harper has also given permission to the Canadian Human Rights Commission to strip white Canadians of their right to free speech. A Mr. Brad Love is sitting in an Ontario jail for relentlessly demanding that government tell him why they flooded the country with third world immigrants. Yes, we have political prisoners.

the unedited portions of this story do not make harper's actions more redeeming. political rhetoric and media reporting aside, the material history remains that harper's actions clearly conclude that he is absolutely partisan to israeli interests, even when this involves the murdering of innocent arab civilians by israeli missiles. this is the main issue, all else is superficial. to negate the actions of cold hearted villains like harper with their lies is just silly... to put it gently.
