Karen Tepperberg on drums. When you gig behind a named soloist, it's pieces like this that keep the band happy and willing to tour. Chris is generous here to make this piece more or less a band showcase with the occasional reminder that his name is on the sign. A nice ensemble piece. Enjoyed it!
OK, so the improv. of CB is not the best it can be....I hear that comment on youtube re: his playing a lot...ah well... I still love the tunes he plays with even a smidgen of improv coming from him..is great....wonder why he doesn't do more..do more on that end, my favorite darling talent Chris Botti...
keyboard player is immense on this track. Botti has an awesome sound, and I love his tunes; but I agree with the dude below, his improvisation is not fantastic. Probably best that he doesn't let himself have extended solos :)
Yeh keyboard player jams on this ... and Botti just keeps repeating the basic thematic material ... ending with some good high notes ... BUT hey Chris where was the SOLO ... where was the improvisation ... I'm starting to wonder why this cat don't ever let go and play ... I mean CREATE some of his own lines
If I remember correctly what they said In a concert I went to, she is from Israel, I don't know her name. Why not is on the album Slowing Down The World 1999.
@tomblaza those are monitors and they are aimed at the band not the audience. The sound is not being blocked by the pillows. that is the backside of the speakers "monitors"
@tomblaza No, Those speakers are monitors. They face the musicians. The pillows are to prevent the audience to have to face the (ugly) back side of the monitors.
Such nice sound sound, music you cn really chill out to :)
