you do know these computerized trucks are programmed to run better with SOME back pressure. with nothing giving it back pressure, you will probly lose hp.

it still has cats theres more power now than there was with the mufflers and they make programmers to make any kind of adjustment to the computer that you want anyways.

mines too old for a programmer to do that. its the first style ecu of 97. what i was saying is i think performance mufflers may be better on the power than straight pipes. if youre talking about stock mufflers im damn sure youre makin more power. i hate the stock mufflers.

yea i used to have a '90 f1 so i couldnt do much to it so i just cut everything off i really didnt give a damn about power i just wanted it as loud as it would go. i just hate the tone that just about any muffler has

I will admit though that I have some respect for duals on a F150, cuz my boss has a 97 F150 4.6 with duals and it aint that bad.

It sounds ok. I love fords, but my silverado sounds pretty damn good too. I've had a ford, and it got me where I needed to go. It was dependable. But to be honest, my truck is the best I've ever driven. It drives itself.
