funny hearing Jeff (1:30 in the vid) talk about our van drifting off into the center median at 70 MPH. We (Germ Free Adolescents) were on our way back from a gig at CBGB's in NYC. Everyone was sleeping, including the driver. I was sleeping in the second row seat as all hell broke out. Sprung up and grabbed the wheel right before we were about to slam into the center overpass. True story. Lives saved...this time.
I'm trying to get a pal of mine who works for a DVD company to put this out!!! I am hoping he will suceed! For God's sake, the Dead Boys were from Cleveland!
My H/C band in england Kill For Christ in the mid 90's used to cover 'I'm Not Right' by the Guns. Found the New Hope comp for a pound ($2 approxish), in some shit record shop, What a great record! Incredible song, totally kicks, loved playing it! We were all from Cleveland in the UK so much respect to all involved over in the US. Be good to see the whole thing soon...
Hey dickweed, Cleveland had punk bands in the mid 70s and had a hardcore scene by 1981. Just like LA or NYC. Most of the stuff in this movie is about shit going on between 81 and 85. And you were doing what then? Being a sperm in your dad's nutsack? That's what I thought. Maybe you should refrain from posting comments on something you know DICK about.
You are right on this one! The Dead Boys were from Cleveland! This needs to be put out ASAP! I'm trying to get an old pal who works for A DVD Music Co. to put this out!
Man, I wish I could see this movie. There WAS a punk scene, because we had nothing better to do. Any DVD distribution deal, or chance I could see it in Seattle?

Sad, very sad. there was no "scene" in Cleveland, give me a break. Cleveland is a blue collar town that kicked the punks out as soon as the posers showed up. That was ofcourse 2 years after the punk movement started.
It is NYC and LA for trends baby, the rest of the places just copy it a few years later!
HAHA. the Phantasy theatre as the place were dieing bands played because they knew the rust belters would still think it was cool!
Oh you are right. There is no way I could put a fake age and throw some shit vids on my favorites is there.Clevelands punk scene was a day late and a dollar short buddy.
translation: "waaaah! waaahh! I'm a malcontent internet troll whiner who wasn't there and doesn't know shit, but will make a vain attempt to be an authority." sorry- cleveland had punk bands in 1974 like the mirrors and it (d)evolved into hardcore by 80/81 just like it did in LA or NY. just because it stayed relatively internal doesn't mean it didn't happen, ya knob. quit talking out of your ass and stick with subjects you know about.
It's playing on Friday Nov. 9th at the Beachland Tavern in Cleveland with a live performance by 0DFx along with Cheap Tagedies, CD Truth and This Moment in Black History. The movie starts at 8 PM.
Is this film on DVD?!? I have an audio tape of the Cleveland scene from 1982 featuring the Urban Mutants, Starvation Army, the Dumbshits, the Offbeats, Zero Defex, the Dissidents, the Agitated, Loud As Fuck, the Idiot Savants, the Beatoffs and the Defnics. The cassette is called This Tape Sucks, still works and still kicks ass! Now I want the footage that goes with the tape!!
bEER dAD , You showed me this trailer before , but , that's OK . I think it's really cool. The exploitation film "bytes" make it! But , I'll wager that either the skinhead in a gridlock or the multicolored Mohican , one of the two , is you , tho' it's hard to imagine......If so , I won't tell anyone. A friend from Texas , who lives here now , could substantially humiliate me with a roll of film he shot of me , and NOW claims he still has...John.
yeah: rocket from the tombs, dead boys (who evolved out of RFTT and got big in NYC but we still take credit for 'em), pagans, pere ubu...just to name a few.
where can I get a copy of this? please post the entire film!!!! thanks.

HaHA - CLEVELAND's punk scence!! Dude the punk "scene" was here and gone before Cleveland ever even heard of it!
What's next the Cleveland "Metal" scence of the early 90's? The Cleveland "Grunge" scence on the late 90's
Newsflash- They have hybrid cars!
