I wear a shoot sleeve and a headband beacuse I like it, in my team nobody wears nothing, i wear long socks, shooting sleeve and headband. i use it cuz i think it's cool, protects my shooting arm and it's a kind of inspiration in allen iverson, and, believe it or no, help's me shoot better and corrects my mistakes. i have a question, when i use it, my sleeve falls over the arm until my wirst, how can i fix it whitout bending it?

I guess it's down to whatever you wanna use it for though hey? Like I use it to stop me from getting burns and it reduces impact a little bit when you get hit, same as why I wear calf sleeves. And also if I have cuts and stuff it helps cover them. The climate thing is a very good point though, I live in a tropical area of Australia so we get hot/cold flushes and it's normally quite humid so it definitely helps keep the sweat off your hands and helps keep your muscles warm.

dre's right. i sweat like patrick ewing and the arm sleeve pulls the sweat off my arms and from running down to my hands and making the basketball slip. i wear the knee one's too to keep me from stiffening up between games or if i lose. they keep you warm by not letting the sweat cool you off.

People also wear em to prevent scratches (they don't want to wreck their tattoos). Since they do warm up your arm, in a sense it does help your shooting as no one can shoot with cold hands. The main use is obviously for style though.

I wear a shooting sleeve on my left arm, after a weight lifting injury to my elbow joint I had to have cartilage drained from the joint which means it can often stiffen up. It's not about keeping the muscles warm basketball will do that, it keeps the joint warm so the synovial fluid can keep my elbow from becoming stiff and hindering my movement.
