  • Is that a 92FS/96 Brigadier in the background?

  • @cosm47 92FS Inox.

  • he has an m9

  • Great vid!

  • Great video. Bought the gun without manual and spent too long trying to figure it out with no results. Thanks for posting this video.

  • is that a beretta in the background

  • Is this an Interarms or a Smith and Wesson and how is the performance?

  • This is a S&W version. The performance is very good. Check out my review of the gun.

  • ha i have the same exact one with same colors but its 4.5mm and shoots copper bb's

  • How is the guns performance?

  • you have to be the best gun reviewer ive seen on youtube

  • Oooh, thanks a bunch! And, thanks for watching! :)

  • i have the original walther ppk .32 ACP produced at the german factory of zella mehlis in 1940. this gun is still accurate at 25 meters. the .380 ACP was specially manufactured for the U.S. market

  • Great Vid. I finaly know how to take apart my ppk. I just inherited it and have been goin nuts trying to figure it out. Thanks!

  • Where you get that nice scar from sir?

  • damn where did you get that scar on your left hand from? looks nasty

  • Skateboarding accident.

  • 9mm? and how much for M9 and ppk ?

  • The PPK in the video is a .380ACP. As for the M9 and PPK, they're each just a bit over $500 new.

  • Very important question: I have the gas operated bb gun ppk and it has the same exact field strip. I've taken it apart many times but this time the slide WILL NOT fit on. It won't pop back down into place. I have no idea how to fix this. Pleaseeee help!

  • the trigger guard has to be down and the hammer has to be back and mag is out

  • Don't buy Walther guns, I have been waiiting months for my broken ppk...

  • very nice gun

  • It should look like the bind thing bond uses only walthers I think

  • how ironic i just finish watching you m9 review

  • Damn, and I thought the Beretta M9 was easy....

  • It's pretty easy! :D I luuve pp and ppk! :D

  • cut my hand on its slide today cant wait to shoot it ,took me forever to find 380, auto but got a bunch cheap at a gunshow... the guns rifling looks like the intro thing for james bond ,pretty cool

  • You have the same exact weapond I do!

  • Thanks. I own one and now I know how to do a deep cleaning.

    Thanks

  • Just a heads up, there is a recall on Walther PPK and PPK/S pistols..for anyone viewing this video. Check Smith and Wesson's website for details.

  • yeah check the competition's website. hey did you hear mcdonald's is killing people, go to the burger king website for details lmao

  • forgive the typos, I can't seem to spell anymore!!!!

  • I read that the Barrel removal say's,"tunr barrel clockwise and pull forawrd. that is wrong! You turn the barrel counter clockwise and pull forward.

To me thid seems like a critical area for a fair amount of lube. After field striping this pistol, I say go a head and remove the barrel, and lube it very well. I think thiswill kepp the firearm in good condition for a long time.

After all we should always keep our guns clean!

  • Pretty cool! However, I have found that the ORTGIES' 7..65mm seems to be the "Original" Walther PPK. I am restoring one of these for a good friend of mine, they are IDENDICAL.

  • nice skar

  • Thanks. It's like a poor man's copyright.

  • that is a badass little gun

  • is that a real gun?

  • Yes. It is real.

  • Very well done! Thanks to all out there who take the time to help us with this!

  • I own a stainless PPK, made around 1982. I wish I had a buck for every time I forgot myself and "held high" while firing. The web of my hand's been cut and bloodied more times than I'd like to remember. I rarely use it anymore; my Glock 26 (9mm) can be stuffed in a pocket holster, and allows for my natural, high grip. For some reason, though, I can't bring myself to sell the little Walther.

  • nice video

do you know where I can buy a supressor for it ( 0.380 ACP) thanks

  • Sorry, I do not know where to get one of those. You might wanna try a google search.

  • I have the PPK/S, and think you did a great job. Two notes: The trigger guard is not always that easy to move out of the way. I have to keep sideways pressure on mine.

Also, the slide lock piece, and the small spring that pushes it down can come apart easily (by themselves, it seems) when the slide is removed. Use caution to keep these little guys in their place!

For All: It's a GREAT concealed carry piece!

  • Is this a PPK or a PPKS I just bought a used PPK. It strips just the same but my trigger guard does not pull to the side and rest on the frame-I have to hold it down while taking off the slide.

  • This is a PPK, not a PPK/S.

  • dosent it go, make sure it empty, then service the magazine?

  • No because if you have the magazine in than you could just chamber a round by racking the slide.

  • after a while is there a chance that the trigger guard just falls out of place while you're shooting?

  • I guess there is always a chance for that, but I think it is very remote. The trigger guard is spring loaded, so it tends to snap back into position.

  • Does your trigger guard really drop out that easy or did you prep for the video?

Also, 1:43, did it not work the first time??

  • The trigger guard is very easy to pull down.

  • That pistol and VERY SAME SHOW MANERA

  • great video

  • THIS PISTOL IS CALIBER .380?

  • Yes, it is a .380 ACP.

  • THANK YOU

  • hey whenever i try to reassemble mine and pull my slide back, it never goes all the way forward. any clue why that would happen?

  • Nevermind...figured it out. Any chance of damaging a gun while reassembling? If so, how would I know if I don't see anything?

  • walther ppk is james bonds gun

  • Except, they call it the "PP7 ."

  • no they still call it the pp7 is whole other gun

  • No it's not. PP7 is the gun used in James Bond films, they called it the PP7 because they couldent use the name " walther PPK " same with " KF7 soviet " there version of the AK47..

  • Thanks for this video, very straight forward and well done!

  • was the pistol worth the purchase? i was looking at buying one. i had a few questions.

    1. is it accurate.

    2. is it comfortable to shoot.

  • I'd say yes, the gun is worth the price I paid for it (about $500). It is accurate and comfortable to shoot under 20 rounds. See my review on this gun in my other videos.

  • under 20 rounds. so it gets hard to hold it after that?

  • It gets a bit painful on the web of the hand.

  • i hate i am just a 13 year old and my gun Damn it gets anoying

  • I wanted that one so much more, but had to settle for the bersa thunder.Just dont have the money right now.

  • beretta and ppk sounds like a james bond fan just like meee lol

  • Yours seem to be very compact & beautiful, as compared to the WWII military one. Thanks for sharing.

  • Beretta 92FS stainless.

  • nice gun also

  • Wat gun do you have in the bacground?

  • thanks for the vid man i lost my manuel and hadnt cleaned my gun since i got it

  • You have to open the slide on an empty mag in order for it to lock back. There is no external slide stop lever.

  • How much recoil is in this handgun? i hear there is a sharp painful snap after each shot

  • Not much recoil, but the pain comes from the web of the hand as the beaver-tail tends to force into it with each shot. It is not wrist wrecking agonizing pain, just an annoyance really. And I don't really notice it until the 3rd or 4th mag through.

  • thanks for the post. couldnt find my manual.

  • PPK or PPK/S? I take it's a S&W US made one by the finish on it?

  • It's a PPK, S&W stamped.

  • Handsome piece, the backgroud Beretta too...

  • can you do a review on this, i am a loyal subscriber and i think this is the only other gun besides the beretta m9 that you havent done both a review and field strip and reassembly video on.

  • Thanks for the message. I'll try when I have the time. Got classes starting again soon, but I'll put it on my things to do list for sure.

  • hitlers suicide gun :P

  • is that a fun gun to shoot because they guys at the range told me it sucks but i think it is a kick ass gun

  • It's easy to make fun of because it's not big and powerful (mostly for guys that have something to prove), but they are a nice gun

  • Yea, I like it. I mean it is what it is: a good .380 ACP pocket gun, not a hunting gun or target gun. And if it sucks, then why did Sig and Bersa and others create guns based on its design?

  • alright thanks bro

  • yea i always confuse the walther ppk with the sig 232 and a bersa thunder.

  • Thanks the video really helped me, I just inherited my great uncles WWII PPK that he got from a Gestapo officer and in the condition its in it is currently worth around $2000

  • Ahhh vintage piece. Good deal. Hold on to that for your grandkids.

  • I took it apart today and it worked fine but the recoil spring was stuck and I could stretch it a little bit but no budge. Any advise, I NEED HELP! : )

  • I don't understand. Are you saying the recoil spring is stuck to the barrel? If that's the case, you might want to try some CLP in that area, let it sit overnight, and then try to work it free.

  • thanks for the advise i'll try it in the morning, but it's stuck in the area where it goes all the way back, sorry about the non proffesional lingo I just started collecting guns and ammo in January this year.also i'm 14

  • when you cut the videos down did u do it cos it took you like 10 times to put it back on lol?

  • I try to edit out cheesy dialogue, misspoken dialogue, terminology errors, ringing cell phones, dropped gun parts, sneezing, coughing, passing gas, etc.

  • hahahahaha dont eat beans before video

  • lol passing gas =]

how much fps is this gun?

    is it all metal?

    and wat does it shoot?

    how much is it?

lol please answer all my question if u can.

  • My box of CorBon ammo says 1050 fps. It's all metal cept for the grips. It shoots the .380ACP round. I paid a bit over $500 for it.

  • ok, is the walther cp88 good?

    im planing on getting it.

  • they don't make them anymore, they are very expensive now, a couple grand probably for one.

  • Yes, they don't make them in Germany anymore, but I do believe they still make them in the USA. Smith & Wesson is licensed to make them and they still have Walther markings on them.

  • nice gun rly

  • Thank to you save me. Now I know how to Field Strip & Reassembly.

    tksss

  • Do the Walther Pks have more effective ammunition than the Berettas?

  • The Walther PPK fires either the .32ACP or .380ACP and so do some Berettas, like the Tomcat and Cheetah. The Beretta M9/92FS fires the 9mm which is more powerful than anything the PPK can fire.

  • Like in James Bond Dr No when M forced James Bond to use a Walther PPK instead of the Berretta he recently used. Maybe James Bond might have used an earlier model of the Berretta.

  • Niceeeeeeeeeeeee Video

  • thats one nice ppk you got there! what sort of price did you get that for?

  • It was a bit over $500 if I remember correctly.

  • I love my PPK/S

  • Could you do a review of the gun?

  • The .32ACP version isn't hard to come by. I found they are on waltheramerica dot com.

  • Hello again. Except my apologies - in previous message I meant the small piece of metal on the LEFT SIDE of the frame. Had my directions mixed up. QUESTION: I am looking for a Walther PP - just so I can shoot up 6000 rounds of .32 ACP I have on hand. Are these models difficult to obtain?? In California Only by PRIVATE PARTY TRANSFER. sincerely, JAMES.

  • Ahhhh, the .32 ACP version seems to be hard to come by, even online. Hope you can find a good private seller in your area. I'm stuck here in Virginia.

  • Hello again. When you remove the slide there is a small piece attached to the frame (right side) that holds back the slide when the mag is on empty. BE VERY CAREFUL not to knock that piece off the frame - it is only held in place by a small piece of V shaped wire. I took it apart to clean in there and had a hell of a time putting it back. Just thought I would mention it. Sincerely, JAMES.

  • Thanks James. I believe you posted something about this earlier. I've always been careful about that part ever since you mentioned it.

  • nice gun :)

  • Nice video, just picked up a ppk/s can't wait to shoot it :)

  • by the way... do you know where i could find a walther ppk .380 threaded barrel?

  • I haven't run into a threaded PPK barrel yet. If I do, I'll let you know.

  • alright thanks man

  • thanks man... lost the manuel first week i had the gun, this helped me take it apart to clean it

  • Just got one of these, was terrified of all the reports of jams when firing...have now put 200 rounds through it with just 3 jams (all due to hollow point ammo failing to chamber properly).

I love this gun for concealed carry.

Thanks for posting this vid. Perfect demonstration.

  • Yea, I think this gun was designed long before the modern "flying-ashtray" type hollow point ever existed, same with the 1911.

  • very... very nice gun i love it

  • clear explanation, thanks. This is my first handgun. I notice it takes a lot of strength (I'm a woman) to maneuver the slide, much more than my husband's Colt 1911 for example. Any tips for getting that slide on and off a little easier?

    thanks again--

  • I don't know of an easier way to get it on, but to get it off you may want to lock the slide back on an empty mag, remove the mag, then pull down the trigger guard and position it like usual. With the slide locked open, that may give you a breather for a moment, then when you're ready you can push (or pull) back the last 1/4 inch and remove like normal.

  • Thanks I'll try it!

  • The process may be different from state to state. Here in Virginia, if you buy from a dealer, you need 2 forms of ID and there are 2 forms to fill out and you have to undergo a background check that you pay for ($2). It all happens right at the gun store. If you buy from a private seller, it's cash and carry; no paperwork, background check, or record keeping required. Pure freedom the way God intended!

  • nice video could not of been better explained

and i got a question how mch would it cost to buy the walter ppk shown in the video.

    seem very nice

  • My personal PPK is not for sale (it's the only one I have), but thanks for asking. You can get one just like it for about $550 new.

  • i saw u were gonna post about the XD! just curious on ur thought about the XD. i bought one few months ago and im in lover with it! jw what ur thoughts are for it! (mines a xd .40 bi-tone 4" service btw )

  • The XD is a great gun. The trigger has a nice smooth stroke. Mine is in .45 ACP and eats a lot of CorBon +P. Never had a jam of any kind.

  • even though i have a soft air version its still not working. :( please reply

  • Its probably the fact that its an airsoft gun that its not working

  • yeah but it's still supposed to be able to field strip

  • Not the same way though. Just skip the trigger guard part and try to just pull the slide off. It might need a little force, but most airsoft guns just have the slide come off.

  • Much recoil on it? Is it accurate? Is the barrel and frame one piece? Had any jams? I'm looking to get one of CCW and I've seen them, but no experience with them. Build quality on German and USA versions both are top notch! Nice video! 5 stars!

  • Nope, not much recoil and it is fairly accurate. I think the barrel can be seperated from the frame, but that goes beyond field stripping, so I'm not exactly sure. No jams so far, but I haven't really shot this gun as much as some of my other guns. Good luck with your CCW search.

  • Do JHP cause problems or haven't you noticed? Thanks for the help!

  • So far, no jams on any kind of ammo I've tried and that includes JHP. On occasion, I do get some kind of weird blowback effect with CorBon +P JHP; it's as if the force of the round throws off the timing (makes it cycle a bit too fast) and extra gas and powder hits my face from the breech. This never happens with regular pressure rounds.

  • Thanks for the help. The Cor-Bon is the most powerful round in 380 out, and the Hydra-Shock is the most for standard pressure. I'm thinking when I get mine I'll use the Hydra-Shock's. I have some Cor-Bon +P 45ACP for my Kimber, but haven't tried these yet. I have a feeling that these are some hot rounds they make because the 165 gr 45ACP tops out at 573 ft/lbs, almost double a standard round.

    Thanks and 5 stars!

  • about how long is the total length on that thing??

  • 6.1" long. Slightly shorter than the PPS.

  • Do you have a vid of field stripping the m9.

  • Not quite yet. I think I'll do the XD first.

  • Thanks for the video, it made stripping and cleaning my ppk/s a breeze. After the long weekend at the range I know my Walther is thanking your from its case as well. Also I was wondering if you or anyone know of any good sites to get parts for the ppk? I'm looking for an additional magizine and possibly a new grip.

  • Glad you enjoyed the video. Gunbroker(dot)com sometimes has PPK parts. There are mags and other stuff at waltheramerica(dot)com. As for grips, you might wanna try hogueinc(dot)com and ajaxgrips(dot)com.

  • is that airsoft?

  • I've heard that the new Smith and Wesson PPKs are not as good as the old german made ones. What do you guys think?

  • I have the PPK/S, and it seems to be well made. However, hammer bite is a bitch. Every time I go shooting, it tears some flesh. I have heard that this was not a problem on the original German PPK.

  • I have an original PP, which is the same size gun as the PPK/S but with a longer slide and barrel. I've never had one pinch from the hammer. Does your pistol have the new extended beaver tail?

  • Hi. I have 1200 rounds thru mine and I think it is still breaking in. I use heavy military grease for lubrication. I shoot 400 rounds at a time. I think you should have mentioned about the piece (held in my a small spring) that locks the slide back on empty. If you lose that little spring, and it could happen during cleaning, you have to wait a long time for a new one. Just something to consider. I watch your vids and they are great. Thanks for another great one. JAMES

  • Thanks for letting me know about that spring. It hasn't come out on me yet, but then I haven't spent a lot of time on this gun. I mostly shoot/take apart my Beretta or 1911. I'll certainly be more careful about it next time I clean my PPK. Cheers.

  • The gun feels like a solid chunk of stainless steel. Haven't put too many rounds thru it, but I think it is very durable. It definitely is accurate. The great single action trigger helps with that. Not sure if you can attach a comp since there's not much of the barrel that sticks out at the end. Recoil is so mild, you probably wouldn't need a comp.

  • That's cool how you can drop the hammer just by switching on the safety. That's a nice gun, how is the durability and accuracy? Can you attach a compensator?

  • if younotice the webpage in the back ground changes

  • wow nice deal, was like 1 min from getting one but i saved $400 and got a bersa thunder .380, the key locking system and slide stop sold me. But not as nice as yours.

  • Congratz, I've heard great things about the Bersa lineup. Was thinking of getting a Thunder 9 myself.

  • Nice finish, how much?650.00-800.00?

  • I only paid $550. This is a recent make, not a vintage. I wish I could afford vintage. LOL!

  • Hey, I'm thinking of a PPK, How's the recoil? How's the DA trigger pull? SA? Thanks!
