Der Abrams kann mit fast allen brennbaren flüssigen Stoffen und in beliebigen Mischungsverhältnissen betrieben werden. Das Heulen der Turbine wird von den Luftfiltern stark gedämpft. So laut kann er also nicht sein. Der Leopard macht auch einen ziemlichen Lärm, vorallem auf asphaltierten Strassen.
Der hohe Spritverbrauch liegt daran, dass die Turbine auf dem technologischen Stand der 1970er Jahre liegt. Sie hätte mal durch eine wesentlich effizientere ersetzt werden sollen, aber es fehlte wohl das Geld.
Einige empfindliche Stellen am Abrams sind eher schlecht geschützt. Dies, weil gute Panzerung ein Vermögen kostet. Deshalb genügt wohl eine Panzerfaust, um den Abrams A1 ausser gefecht zu setzen.

Der M1? Möglich, wenn auch unwahrscheinlich. Der M1 hatte ja noch die alte britische 105mm L7, die schon im Leo 1 und M60 eingesetzt wurde. Der M1A1 wurde dann auf die 120mm L/44 Glattrohrkanone von Rheinmetall aufgerüstet. Aber selbst die L7 dürfte die irakischen Möchtegern-T-72 recht sicher durchlöchern können.
Der nachweislich beste Kampfpanzer der Welt ist der Leo 2A6. Der Leo und der Ami M1 Abrams haben gemeinsame Vorfahren (KPz 70). Allerdings gingen danach wieder alle eigene Wege. Die Kanone hat der M1 vom Leo2, allerdings ist die Gasturbine im Wartungsaufwand und Kraftstoffverbrauch dem V12 Diesel des Leo2 unterlegen. Die Russische Technik ist ebenfalls vom feinsten, kommt aber an die westliche nicht ganz ran.

Vergiss aber nicht, dass die letzten Kampfwertsteigerungen jeweils "nur" den Turm, kaum aber die Wanne (Antriebsanlage) verbessert haben. Durch das höhere Gewicht ist der 2A6 im Gelände dem 2A4 deutlich unterlegen.

sweet jesus the jew, you're stupid. the new leo 2's are using the 55 calibre barrel length of the Rheinmetall 120 mm gun. they used to use the 44 calibre version, that the abrams is still using. the upgrade didnt make the gun longer, it replaced the gun with a version of that gun that has a longer barrel, as i already said. that means you can easily replace the gun on the abrams with the newer version. the only difference between the guns is the barrel lengths.
