@bestwish86: Yea my buddy was shooting with a waterproof Pentax Optio and the sound quality is terrible unless you're right up next to the camera. Sorry about that. It was sort of an unexpected catch so I was just stoked to have a camera out there at all!

I just saw the video of you fly fishing and I was wondering if you had caught any in that video and if so, what kind? Then I saw you with this beautiful fish. Well done! This must have really made your day. Very exciting I'm sure. Did you eat this fish or mount it? I'm from Ohio like I said; and I don't know what this fish would have to weigh in order to be considered a Trophy Size Fish of this species. But either way, very nicely done.

Have you ever fallen off of your Stand Up Paddle boat? Have you ever had a large shark to come up close to you when you were standing on your SUP? I am sure it has happened to someone...and that must be a scary thing. This looks like fun. But, no thanks. I'll just stand on the edge of the shoreline and pick up sea shells.

@johnny102marvin: I haven't fallen off the board while fishing but I would image some day it will happen! I've had a 6' mako swim pretty close by the board and I was a little nervous but most of the time I have my feet on the board. My board is 10'6" or 12' (I have two) so luckily it's bigger than most sharks. Of course, a great white would easily eclipse my board and I would imagine they're around but I try not to think about them! Good luck with the sea shells!

@meeshfish There is a video on YouTube of a person in an average size ski boat out on Point Loma on the ocean side...and he videotaped a pod of Killer Whales. They were real friendly to him as shown on the youTube video. He stopped his motor and the Killer Whales put on a show for him. I go out to Point Loma a lot and video tape and take still pictures. Absolutely huge. Did it take you for a ride round the bay before you brought it in?

That was definitely one of the most fun fishes I have caught on my SUP. It towed me around for a fw minutes and then luckily it went down in the kelp. On my board I don't have any leverage if the fish swims out to sea but have better leverage if it goes down. I was prepared with 40lb mono. There was no way that this one was getting away.
