What does it say about wrestling when workers from the 30-70's died of old age while so many workers from 70-present dies before their 50...?
How many workers from the 30-70's were paralyzed from broken necks? The only wrestler from that era that I can think of who committed suicide is Yukon Eric.
@ruben1554 Unfortunately I've been extremely busy for a while now and don't get much time to create videos anymore, I wish I could update but sadly it takes a lot of research and effort to compile something like this to a decent enough standard.
Feel free to remember the recently deceased on the comments though, Thanks for your comment :)
Their relatives should get together and sue the league for encouraging steroid abuse. This is just a shocking list of human tragedy. Are all o f those Von Erick's related?
Bruno Leopoldo Francesco Sammartino(born October 6, 1935) is an Italian-American former professional wrestler, best known for being the longest-running champion of the World Wide Wrestling Federation(WWWF),holding the title across two reigns for over 11 years in total,as well as the longest single WWE Championship reign in men's professional wrestling history.
Sammartino headlined more Garden cards than any other wrestler (211),including 187 sellouts
The great Frank Gotch, some say was "the peerless one", died at approx. age 40 - uremic poisoning! (1917). -- May have used questionable or dirty tactics to subdue his major opponent, Georg Hackenschmidt (The Russian Lion, who died in 1968 at age 89).

man, as a kid I can remember going to Jack Witchie's Sports Arena in Attleboro Mass every Friday night,,seeing guys like Sweet Daddy Watts, Haystack Calhoon,Bull Montana,Vincenti Pomente,The Vagabon Gypsie Joe and how loud his punch was in the head lock as he always opened up the head of the guy he wrestled,,to this day I still wonder how he got the "crack" sound as his knuckles made contact. Life is so short, please take care of yourselves, all that see this,,,God Bless
@foxybrown2 Kerry Von Erich committed suicide and his brother David. Kevin had a fatal car accident i heard. Their father died from natural causes. And i don't know about Chris Von Erich.
@1225catherine you're wrong about kevin, he too committed suicide. he had serious drug problems getting arrested twice, the first of which resulted in probation, the second happened while he was still on said probation. faced the imminent consequences of his actions he shot himself in the heart
@1225catherine David died from acute enteritis, not suicide. Mike committed suicide by drug overdose, Chris committed suicide by gunshot to his head. Jack, the firstborn who never reached adulthood, was electrocuted. And their father Fritz, died from lung and brain cancer.

Wow!! This brings back so many memories of when I WAS a wrestling fan. I remember the Von Erichs. I think they all died from food poisoning. It was so sad to see them drop off one by one. Somebody really had it out for them. Thanks for the post "liverpoolad6"
Sleep Apnea can kill but not usually until someone gets older ( heart attack in their sleep) unless they fall asleep at the wheel. Being overweight doesn't help either-again -heart attack usually takes them out.

You know I'm surprised the Ultimate Warrior hasn't died considering how many steroids he probably took.

This year has already claimed several more legends:
2008 Necrology:
Arman Hussein, Tony Olivas, Johnny Weaver, Don Curtis
Every year for the past 5 or 6 years the website has posted the complete list of deceased wrestlers. By the time a year has passed, several dozen names adorn the list. R.I.P, all.
(If you Google "deceased wrestlers" you'll be shown the site I'm talking about.)

Nice job. Thanks for adding the names. I wouldn't have recognized some of those guys.

There were 5 Real Von Erichs and then Waldo & Lance who were added in later. Adding them made 7
