I've been skating freeline for a few months now and I've got a question about shoes. How much does the sole of the shoe really matter? I've got some average sized New Balances, but they don't have as much sole as say, a skateboard shoe. I'm really feeling the vibration from skating in the soles of my feet and their cramping. Do skateboard shoes really make that much of a difference while freeline skating?
@CodyFund shoes can definitely be a factor, but probably not until you start doing tricks. doing toe flips, your shoes are a big factor as a thinner sole helps you grip the skate to pull it. Your feet cramping will happen no matter what the shoe is. But the more you're on the skates and your riding style improves your feet will stop to cramp. sometimes it just happens but when your riding is fluid you should not experience that anymore
Video shows same few tricks over and over because that is all you can do with these. Meanwhile, people are STILL discovering new things they can do with boards, bikes, etc... and it has been MANY years since people started doing tricks with those. These freeline skates are pretty darn new and have already reached their potential. Unless someone comes up with a good redesign.

I just meant there isn't very many flashy things you can do with them compared to boards, bikes, etc. If you aren't close you miss the trick... sometimes you even miss the trick when you are close. Thus, they wouldn't be as exciting in a larger venue.

@MattieTyce I use to play Ice Hockey. Then Roller Hockey. Also Inline Hockey. Then got tired of that. Still use my inline Skates. Went through 6 Pairs of wheels and only fell twice in 5 years. Got love the ankle support is the inline skates.

I have those.....its the newest way the brake a couple of bones!!!! :) and it takes awhile to master them......took me a week to learn how to ride then i started goin down little hills. but its hard

@MattieTyce I use to play Ice Hockey. Then Roller Hockey. Also Inline Hockey. Then got tired of that. Still use my inline Skates. Went through 6 Pairs of wheels and only fell twice in 5 years. Got love the ankle support is the inline skates.

i'm not bragging or tryin to be an asshole but i always pick up physical activities activities really quickly. that said, i just recently got to try a pair of these out and it was the hardest fucking thing i've ever attempted, i still haven't got it down, so props to these guys. and to all the haters who just shoot their mouth off and don't do anything but sit on their ass, go suck a cock.
