  • Don't you know how to treat cat's??

    poor cat

  • poor cat.

  • Great gear.

I think it is as good as it can get on a budget.

I can read comments recommending him to buy L -series lenses or 1D bodies but for your info: that kind of equipment costs in the thousands of dollars.

All items in his equipment cost only a few tens or hundreads of bucks.

Good photographers take wonderful pictures with a 50USD camera.

Idiots still take louzy pictures even with all the professional equipment in the world.

  • @nobodywillcare Watch my most recent what's in my camera bag video, I bought one L series zoom lens. I've got 2 more L series lenses coming this spring. 2011.

  • dope shit yo!

  • why do you have so many slr's?

  • ur gear is FUCKING OLD!

  • you have too much money,girl !

  • ur lucky to have that much stuff. are u spoiled?

  • Great gear. Nice

  • im gonna get the canon 20d and sell my d40 and i want a good lens with a lot of range but not have to sell my car to get the lens

  • one nikon body and one nikon lens can own all that canon overrated bullshit....and maybe if you actually paid for all that you take better care of them...fuckin douchbag.

  • @buddylee1983 umm a current nikon body sure, but all his bodies and lens are old come on man, plus its not the body/lens its the technique and photographer

  • Throw the kitteh!

  • Great Stuff! Keep it up.. :)

  • It's good to have rich parents spoil you with gadgets huh!

  • Rich fagget. I have one body and one kit lense. Sorry my mommy doesn't buy me everything my cunt heart hopes for. FAGGET. BTW GET RID OF YOUR MUSHROOM HAIRCUT. YOU LOOK LIKE A PRESCHOOLER OF THE 1990s

  • Dude do you really use all those bodies :O why dont u just sell them....

  • fucking rich kids. i hate them

  • @forzabrianmicheal

im in the fucking army douche bag, still cant afford that.

  • im surprised that equipmet lasts u that long the way u treat it

  • why dose he keep his lenses facing upwards without rear end lens cap? :o

  • Comment removed

  • loads of shit gear

  • Looks like a spoiled little kid to me.

Also, don't throw cats, or I might come and throw you.

    kbye.

  • Yeah, cos your hard

  • Good to see some of the younger generation become involved in such a worthwhile hobby....a bit pricey, but worthwhile.

  • you was doing great until you thew your cat away!!!...poor kitty what did it do that was so wrong?...looked to me like it just wanted to be near you...

  • wow how do you afford all that?

  • just throw the cat

  • Dude why all the camera's?!? xD

If I were you, I'd have sold everything but maybe the 50mm 1.8f and the nice A2E and then buy a 5D MKII and some nice L lenses. :D

No use keeping stuff when you don't use it all. :P

Also, careful on the equipment man! Gonna break some glass throwing it around like that...

  • holy shit alot of stuff

  • Take Care of your gear!

  • awesome loved it.

  • sell it all, buy a d300 !! and easy on the cat!!! was only chillin no need to chuck it around!!

  • hi, i got a sony alpha 200 on summer.. I am starting to work on a teen magazine at my town. I need some good and cheap lenses for sport photography and other party activity .. Please give me some info on what should i buy thanks..

  • Sell the Sony and get a used Canon 30D. You're going to have a better selection for lenses, whereas with Sony, if you want good picture quality, you're going to be paying for quite a bit of expensive glass since your choices will be so limited.

  • lol your cat

  • hahah you through the cat

  • I have that vivitar 135. On my Canon AE-1, And on my D60. Nice lens for 10 euros.

  • nice gear. i love 50mm 1.8 (i use nikkor.) but really very similar. Keep up the videos, and I'd love to see some of your work!

  • so you use nikon and canon?

  • Lol on the cat

  • Don't throw your cat around!

  • Did you make money from photography? I do make part times on wedding and parties. Are you going to buy a new full frame dslr?

  • Loved your collection but I'm wondering .. have you ever thought of buying a pro lens which comes with the red line ? I think 70-200 2.8 is a great lens but I don't have it and thanks for sharing your video with us .

  • I am so jealous :( I want all these but I don't want to trouble my parents. Love your gears (:

  • Dude, I think you're awesome....those jerks talking about more money than sense can stick it. You seem to enjoy what you do and you don't give a damn about what others think about it, I respect that. Keep it up!

  • Thanks.

In May, I stopped giving a shit about most things. I also turned 16 in May...

    Go figure...

  • Can you do a canon vs. Nikon video i really need to prove to my friend that canon is better! you'll always be the first person ill come to for photography needs! :~)

  • Wow if you think one is better then the other your ignorant. It all depends on the shooter. I tried to shoot cannon once and the controls were so difficult for me I missed allot of shots (I had my friends 50D) but I have a D2H which the controls are in the right place for me. BTW cannon's beginner lenses are much porer quality compared to Nikon. But it all comes down to preferences. I would like to see him do a comparison so see how many false statements hey lists.

  • how is canon better than Nikon? Oh yeah, ITS NOT!!! lol

  • 3rd party lenses blow unluess you're willing to pay top dollar. Sigma's higher end lenses work nicely, but I'm not a huge fan of tamron, and phoenix.... well there's a reason they're not a company anymore. Next time you spend money on a camera go full frame.

  • YOU JUST THROW THAT CAT?!?! :O lmao XD

  • Ha!

Yea...I threw him. Cat's always land on their feet though :)

  • true. haha

  • "its built like tank... pretty much looks like its been hit by one a couple of times but thats okay"

    hahaha that cracked me up.

You've got an impressive collection of gear. Keep it up man!

  • Thanks :)

My well-known dry sense of humor kicked in at that point!

  • what camera did you say at 3:03, you said canon eos hv or something.

  • the Canon EOS A2e with VG10 grip.

  • Hey, can you give me a link to the lens you were talking about at 5:22 and what tripod(s) do you use. Need help finding a decent tripod.

    Thanks

  • Sure.

I'll drop you a link here in a bit.

For sticky situations (water and sand) I use a Targus TGT-10,000 (I think is what its called...)

For my money shots and lunar photography along with long exposures and other things, I use a Manfroto 1909XPROB :)

  • Too much about the gear and too little about actual photography.

  • Well, if you're looking at my gear reviews (about gear) then you should know a good bit about photography. If not, go read a book.

  • Read a pro gear review and learn the format.

  • I have my own format. If you don't like it, get over it.

  • Oh I have.

  • Okay?

  • Sure.

  • you dont need all thos stuff for photography, i have a one camera and it soes the job i need why do you need like 5 camera's?

  • Well, I have some for situations where I dont want my $1K camera getting messy and some for situations that aren't so serious.

  • I don't understand why all your cameras are all "scratched up"? Don't you look after your equipment?

  • he probably uses them thats why! The more you use them, the less you start to care about little scratches and knocks. However looking at the amount cheap and pointless equipment, he's probably got more money than sense!

  • Well, I agree with the first thing you said... I do use all of my equipment, quite a lot.

However, that second part through me...

"He's probably got more money than sense!" I believe is what you said...

"probably" is a VERY indefinite word. And to answer your question, no, I don't have more money than sense, I simply work for what I've got.

  • Yes invest in Cannon so your old lens will not work with your new body. How many times have Canon done this?

  • I own a Pentax M42 mount converter and the lenses work fine on it. And Canon has never done anything wrong with their mounts.

  • you should sell all the old equiptment, and invest in a good DSLR and canons L series

  • Agreed

  • You can also have a Elan 7 as Shane said, and keep shoting with film, but with quality too. Medium format is awesome, but you can't just leave 35mm and buy MF sttuf, is a gooood idea have both equip. I think you can't have just one body, if you have any problem... We use to say about camera bodies: "Who has one, have none".

    good choice on my opinion:

    Elan 7 + Mark II + 30D (backup body)

    24-70 f2.8 L

    50 f1.8

    70-200 f4 L IS

  • you can find information about Elan 7 ant Canon Museum Website, and learn about lenses at the-digital-picture[dot]com.

ps: has a looooot of others things to consider, but about bodies and lenses I think is that.

I hope have helped... keep shooting!

  • lol i got the same sigma lens as u

  • Sorry to say but from what i can see you have allot of not so useful cameras and lenses. I would recomend selling the lot and buying yourself a Canon 1D mark ll as it will do everything you need it to do and eliminate most of your cameras and get rid of all those lenses and just keep the good ones and get yourself 2 or 3 good broad range L lenses. Thats just my opinoin because I know I would rather have a fue good lenses and one good camera then have all of that.

  • moneymoneymoney

you can´t just get a canon 1dmk2 and a few L series lenses just like that. especially if you dont make a living with photography.

  • no filters? o:

  • Well, I have about 15 filters..just none mentioned. All my filters are UV except for my 58mm CPL and my 58mm SKL1A

  • You have a lot of equipment but little stuff of quality. I would say that the best camera that you have is the Pentax simply from my own experience with it. One suggestion for you, sell two of the film bodies and lenses and buy a Mamiya 645 TL Pro. Medium format is so much better than 35mm for film. As for your digital, go with a Pentax K20 and all the Da* lenses. They are cheaper and will serve you better than canon.

  • How can't he afford it? With all that he's bought, he could have bought himself the an Elan 7, a used mark 2 ds, and several L lenses.

But buying plenty of lower quality gear is how almost all of us learn from our mistakes. I have to give him some credit for finding those pentax lenses, but not much else.

It's never too late to sell it all and get some lenses he really dreams of.

  • Where did you get all your lenses for your Pentax?

  • nice gear i use a canon eos 5d mark 2

  • Whoa <--first words out of my mouth

  • Lol "...Excuse me while I extract my kitten..."

The Tamron lens should work on your DSLR if the camera is set in manual, just incase you didn't try that.

  • Well, it does work on my camera. The only way, though, is if I let itself use the default lens aperture settings while I zoom. This sometimes is quite frustrating.

  • how can you even afford all this equipment?

  • dude you have A TON of equipment maybe in 2 years ill have that much equipment haha my next camera i hope is a d80 or xsi but i think i might wanna stick with nikon so me and my dad can share lenses but ya nice 30d

  • where's your d40?

  • wtf? :D very cool :D

  • you should buy a sigma 18-200mm DC OS. that's what i use. great lens, only downside is the auto focus sometime goes a little nuts, but that all depends what your shooting...as in if you need the shot right then and there.

  • damn, how much do you work a week to afford all that?

  • TOO MUCH!!! :(

  • I don't get it. You have (lets be honest here) some mediocre Canon gear but you have some CRAZY Pentax lenses I would love to have!

And where did you suddenly get all this stuff? lawls.

  • GoodWill Superstore (Secondhand Consignment) I don't EVER shop there, but, I thought I'd hop in as a joke one day and I saw this behind the counter and picked all of the lenses, the body, a bag, and some filters up for $40

  • Enough showing off your gear and show us your work that you use with all these stuff.

  • Well, no offense or anything, but that's why there's a link to my flickr page on my youtube channel. :)

  • You still take pictures of your equipment. Take it off and focus more on creating images and / or start making money with the equipment you already have. I won't accept excuses like "but I'm 14..." Great photographers don't take pictures of their own equipment.

  • Granted, I do have many pictures of my equipment. Also, I would never give the excuse of "I'm only 14" because I'm about to be 16 and I started an event photography business one year ago on the 18th. I simply don't have the time to photograph things outside of my room, or my house. I did shoot two weddings in October and have been trying to get around to posting pics/vids on them. I will also admit, I am no great photographer. I am a learning photographer. End of story.

  • Excellent reasoning.

  • I know I could find time, but I'm in the ninth grade attending a private school where I am struggling to hold my 3.75 GPA (which is the highest I have EVER had.) I will be shooting some events here soon for the school, I will post some more of my work. Thanks for watching, and especially thanks for the comments. They we're blunt and to the point. The point being: I need to extend my portfolio to other types of photography.

    Thanks again!!

    -A.J. Holmes

  • hmm last time i checked... you're a fraud.

myself, a learning photographer... will often use camera lenses or other stuff just as a stand in while i learn techniques such as light paintings and using off camera flashes. the reason for this is because they are small versus person which would require using a studio.

  • We're you talking to me or likiwiguy87?

  • i was talking to lilkiwiguy87

  • Agreed.

  • yea...i almost bought the rebel xt...but the 30d was about $50 more :) is your rebel the xt, or xti...or even the original rebel? thayre all good :)

  • Damn bro. Wish I had that stuff. aha I have a Rebel. Its ok =)

  • Good video put just one question: Are all of the pentax lenses you have F2.8?

  • Pretty much. All fast glass :D

  • Animal Abuse

  • NO IT'S NOT!!!!!!!!!! :o

  • i was joking

  • I know :)

  • sick :D what ever happened to that colab?

  • I dropped you a message :D

  • you threw your cat!!! and lol @ the most pointless lens you've ever owned

  • that cat is soo lovable but he ALWAYS gets in the way!!! and that lens, REALLY is pointless!!!

  • Very nice video!! Please keep posting and happy new year ;)

  • Thanks!! I will !! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU TOO!!!

  • oh still a good video.

  • duh, I made it didn't I?

  • yeah haha.

  • happy new year

  • Same to you!

  • Nice!!!! I thought you had a nikon d40?

  • It's a long story...the D40 is actually my friend's though :)
