Larry is a comedy genious, Seinfeld was such a well written show, every character on that show was so funny and original, CYE is an amazing show, i only recently watched it for the first time, have seen every episode now a few times over, gives you a funny look into Hollywood, and Jewish culture in Hollywood. Larry David is a charisma vacuum, a very clever writer, but 20 years ago he would never have been given his own show, can't act, isn't convincing, there are many funnier people in the world than him. Curb would have been much better if they had improvised and then made a really good script out of what they came up with. It's all meshuga meshuga shouting & belly-aching and so nasty with it. It's very lazy weak TV but it's hard to find something that isn't mediocre today & has some shelf-life.

Responding to the people who are ripping apart the interviewer, you have to keep in mind that guys like Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld are merciless to interviewers. They are quick-witted and if the interviewer asks a dumb question they pounce. Most celebrities are not like that. So I'm sure this interviewer was a little apprehensive when meeting Larry in front of a live audience. I thought he did a great job.

WHAT A GUY, WHAT A TERRIFIC SHOW (CYE). Seinfeld was (IS) Great but CYE even surpasses. Mr. Larry David can put together 5 sub-plots and have them intermingle, weave,run into each other and just as the show is about to end, all 5 Sub-Plots race for the finish line and end up in a DEAD-HEAT. In the Gervais interview he elaborates more, he said that he doesn't act like that in real life because he's not a sociopath. He's not trying to say that he aspires to be as socially moral as his TV persona, he's just saying he wished he had the balls to be such an ass in real life
