Lovin me some Dr. Hook. Very classic and my favorite of all time, Beatles would come second for me but they will always be first. I couldn't believe someone hadn't heard of Dr. Hook but its true, so sad.

That is NOT Rik playing the harmonica. Rik is playing the guitar. I think the name of the guy playing the harmonica is Bob Willard Henke -- or something like that. He is also still living and still performing. He plays some GREAT solos in many of Dr. Hooks more popular songs.

I always remembered hearing this at just 5 years old in 1977- this must've been actually the first song I ever remember hearing- even at 5 I thought this song sounded great. Funny thing is just 6 months ago in 2010 I was back in that neighbourhood for the first time in 33 years and i went by to see if the old house was still there- it was - and as i sat in the car remembering sittin in my dad's 76 ford in the driveway & hearing it, it came on the radio again right then! MASSIVE flashback! :)
