really? i thought he was the lead singer not the band leader...it doesn't really matter, remember it is supposed to be about unity, i just think he's way too into himself but do not get me wrong, his impact on the band is crucial and he is irreplacable. 311 wouldn't be 311 without Nick and Tim and Pnut and SA and Chad, but like i said it is about 311, the band is not called nick hexum. that was the point i was getting at. get it?

I was kind of harsh on Nick when i wrote this that day, but i really would have loved to have seen more Pnut time on this interview since Nick is always racing to be up in front...he's the lead singer, he's already up front, he tries too hard. But I still got love for the boy, it would be nice if he's share the spotlight a little when he's not the only one in front of the camera. :) As far as Nick being smarter than Pnut, hmmm... I think Pnut has Nick working for him. Think about it.

nick is the understood leader of the band, and you're right he is the lead singer. but he is also the most mature so he should rightly be the understood leader as well. think about it: if there is no clear leader that is understood by everyone in the band to be the leader, there would be constant conflict. i can see what you're saying....minus the Nick working for Pnut thing.

i would say that Pnut is pretty obviously the goofball of the band, a little less mature, but that doesn't mean i don't love him. besides, every band needs a goofball in it. Nick is very humble about himself and 311! also keep in mind that it is very easy to find Pnut-exclusive interviews on youtube....

I will still say, that beyond the grey sky is probably the closest they come to perfect album replicas. That song sounds just like it does on the album...I can't tell the difference to be completely honest
