  • Hi

  • Do these pets need special treatments.. And also how big do the containers need to be. In order for it to doing exercise. Im 14 and I really want one for my birthday. Thankd

  • What cactuses can i use for my tortoise?

  • @rifasba

you shouldn't use real cactuses cause they might hurt the turtle. try using fake cactuses.

  • @rifasba I haven't found any reccomended live cactus species in my research. But fresh nopales (prickly pear pads) are great food for tortoises. You don't even need to peel them. Tortoises eat them, spines and all.

  • Thanks for the info, u need a haircut

  • please comment and tell me what to do XD

  • i am going to buy a tortoise soon and i really don't know where to buy an enclosure fo it cus in egypt there isn't a lot of stuff for pets

  • I name my tortoise taco :3

  • How do i clean it ?

  • bahahhahah expertvillage is always wrong! xD

  • This guy could use a little exercise himself.

  • @bluemystic7502 what a troll

  • i found my turtle in texas and he/she is an ornate box totoise

  • i just got a desert tortoise.... nd i set up nice natural habitat for him such as rocks, coconut shavings nd mixture of sand so it can feel like a dry nd warm enviroment...my tortoise looks pretty comfortable wit the nice set up i gave it i just need to get a lamp so it wont freeze to death....but itz always hiding frm the light for some reason i think it wants to hibernate

  • how big do they grow? an they tolerate 45 degrees celsius? do they eat the sand? does it have like any breed or does it have a different name besides desert tortoise like african desert tortise ext.... is there different breeds of desert tortoise that is much easier to care for and that will tolerate 45 degrees in my big big safe 45 degrees balcony??

  • Nice info! I'll try to set up Michaelangelo's terrerium. He's my Desert tortoise.

  • @Chorizo240 thats cool both of our desert turtles are name Michaelangelo... lol :)

  • I realize that tortoise is small... But desert tortoises are NOT meant to be kept in small space like that. My desert tortoise is an outside pet, and actually has the entire backyard to run. She even goes to sleep in the dog house at night. The tortoise in the video is small, but eventually needs to be outside, and NEEDS sunshine.

  • @BetterDoYourHomeWork

Oh, Cool guy up in this bitch.

  • @Ra1d3rs4lif3.. Statistics show 92% of Raiders fans are homosexual.

  • @BetterDoYourHomeWork what do you so with the turtle during winter? i was thinking of getting one but i would be worried about them during winter.

  • @2138red My desert tortoise hibernates from fall to spring. I put her in a box and stick her in the garage in a safe place. She is 15 years old and healthy. Do a google search on desert tortoise hibernation to find out more details.

  • @BetterDoYourHomeWork thanks for the info.

  • teh, i feel bad for that tortoise. they do not like to be in a small contained box. gawd idiot

  • tortoises can get obese?!

  • you should try running over those rocks too lol

  • I also have a Sulcata :)

And he's about 10 and since he's getting pretty big its sometimes hard to figure out a good environment for him.

    Thanks a lot.

  • that's so sweet. I've got a Sulcata (the African spur thighed)and non of my books have told me to promote the appetite with activity.

    thanks for the tips

  • Weirdly enough, I actually bought a turtle the day before I bought this. Thanks a bunch
