  • a long line of graffiti free freight--nice!

  • Ah, Chessie!! THIS is railroading!

  • What a great mix of cars on this train. Thanks for posting.

  • CSX crap

  • Love it! Thanks for posting!

  • What yard is PY97 going to? Can't be Potomac Yard that would be east of Harpers Ferry

    Bill

  • @Chessie4113 In all probability going to either Martinsburg or Cumberland for classification. The next point east of the Ferry would be Brunswick.

  • I think the heritage units are an excellent idea... Can you imagine a SD-70MAC in B&O blue and grey!! or an AC 4000 in C&O blue and yellow...WM painted circus colors?

  • I just don't get why they don't keep the units that came from their respective owners with their paints. I.E. SD40-2's from CR to CSX keep CR paint w/ CSX numbering.

  • Great video. Twenty-seven years later I stand at that exact spot and shoot digital.

  • @Trackside1234 Me, too! What a difference!

  • Good ole days...

  • God i love the sound of 16-645 diesel engines pulling a long frieght train

  • YES SIR THE EMD diesel that allways could i love EMD !!!! FLIP GE .............. LOL

  • Nice job on preserving history. Not many people thought to do this. By the way Seafox that is a bridge....not a "crossing".

  • Love that Crossing!!!

  • Wow, look at all the vintage GM&O box cars in the consist, also the B&O box car. Very cool!

  • That was pretty cool

  • Great classic video from a great location. You gotta love the old Chessie System. If CSX were to do heritage units like Union Pacific has already done, then the Chessie System has to be the first one. Besides it would be great to see old Chessie on the new units.

  • That would be great. I wonder if anyone has floated the idea to them. An SD70MAC in WM black and dulux...

  • @e44e33 Yeah but they need to make it realistic; like GP40's. Chessie, Seaboard, Family Lines, Seaboard Coast Line, L&N, WM, ect.....

  • That's what I'm talking about. The old Chessie System.

  • How come no one is commenting on these old school videos? They rule

  • your right man. Every railfan should come out with more train videos from the 70s,80s & early 90s.

  • Cool
