  • yellow rose of texas :)

  • He is RED!

  • Lol its a Mr.Rogers clone

  • This guy looks very Animatronic.

  • happened to me i got so lucky, i was shooting my yugo sks with surplus yugo rounds. the back of a shell snapped off and the next cartridge slid into it, luckely i manually ejected the cartridge and the broken shell

  • but i like that

  • @WaterHorsePictures and that's the way it is.

  • rare face

  • Thanls larry thats a really good bit of info! I would rather cast it out than buy the tool anyways, and whiel I was casting I would cast the chamber to check headspace too!

  • I never imagined pouring molten metal into my gun's chamber could be a good thing. LoL! Interesting method!

  • Larry Potterfield should be president idk why i just want to vote for him.lol

  • wow.

  • Yep good stuff but the bore brush will not work with a 30,06 or other high powers in tight chambers.

Simple physics really the case hugs the wall after expanding when fired hard brass on medium steel is way stronger than any bronze or aluminum rod.

So go easy if you don't feel confident give a gunsmith $20-$30 to do it instead of breaking your rod or other damage to the barrel.

  • Pouring molten metal on a broken shell won't cause the shell to fire?

  • @ukmoore It's a spent shell, not a live one.

  • melting metals...like a boss

  • Very cool. MidWay is my favorite company and Larry is my favorite human. I order from them all the time. They have the best customer service and the fastest shipping I've ever dealt with period.

  • Thats really stuck! never had to go thru all of that before, but I know what to do if it does happen, thanks for the video, because "Thats the way it is!" gotta love that!!

  • nice, check out my channel, i shoot guns and explosives

  • I turn a "can of air" upside down and spray the liquid into the chamber for about a second. It cools the brass faster than the chamber and the brass falls out. Every time.

  • Cleaver method but to cast the chamber is work. Driving it with a rod is right although you need to make a special cleaning rod adapter.

  • You sir are a genius...

  • pro

  • i like this guy. down to earth repairs.

  • Just don't buy a rifle that shoots rounds prone to this problem in the first place.

  • This is what people all around the world imagine Americans to be like, only fatter.

  • we need a larry potterfield for the uk :D

  • nice

  • I thought Larry was just a store owner, but he's more than that.

  • i dont own a rifle, i probably never will. i will definitely not need to do this, yet i still watch videos like this :S

  • black ops ONE IN THE CHAMBER

  • Easier fix - shoot a common caliber. :P

  • i hope this never happens to me, because that looks like a production!

  • ну и РоЖА!

  • Excellent video, but seriously this man is eerie.

  • That was cool.

  • Manchester United!

  • wow that last thing is very clever!!! :D

  • excellent

  • Nice ! But ya goina have to start all over boys and girls, just like it was a new rifle out of the box :(.........but , it keeps ya on ya toes;)

  • Larry Potterfield 2012!!!

  • This cheered me up after having my new gun jammed

  • he is very red :O

  • that last little tool is hardcore but very smart

  • I swear if Larry Potterfield runs for President, I will take a year off work and campaign for him. Hard to beat a campaign slogan like: The US is the #1 nation in the world, and thats the way it is!

  • @DrGuha The USA is nr 1 most hated nation in the world and that's the way it is!

  • 7 people own a nerf gun

  • @anonymousjoey777 10 people as of now.........nerfing must be really hot in Obama Land

  • Thank you buddy!! Great advise!!

  • and that''s the way the cookie crumbles LOL

  • but what if the zombies attack!!??

  • @MstrKordell Haha, I was wondering the same thing. I guess the rifle becomes a club at that point.

  • @MstrKordell then u still need to remove it this way!

  • I've had case head seperation with my 303 with reloaded sellier and bellot brass. It came out easily enough with the cleaning rod and some swearing.

  • I want him as my grandpa he looks so friendly *u*

  • this guy reminds me of the song "rudolf the rednose raindeer"

  • Thank your larry. i got a broken case stuck in my endfield so hopefully one of the first steps work :)

  • LARRY, YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!! GREETINGS FROM ARGENTINA sR

  • i wouldnt get the shell out my rifle at first. I'd find whoever sold it to me and kick their ass.

  • Is it possible for the molten metal to scratch or otherwise damage the barrel which can lead to poor performance?

  • Alternate method, if you don't have access to the zinc or lead melting pot, buy a tap (one that is used to cut threads in metal, many standard and metric sizes are out there) just slightly larger than the bore of the inside diameter of the case that is stuck in the chamber. Be very careful as you could score the chamber, and screw the tap into the piece of brass casing. A few turns will usually do the trick, and take a rod and hit the tap, knocking both it and the brass out. Hope this helps.

  • @91fatboy51 i wouldn't dream of getting anywhere near a gun barrel with a hardened tool steel tap that could destroy the carefully machined surface with the slightest slip. if it works for you, good. do it. just dont sell me your guns later on. hahaha

  • Pour some thermite down the barrel and ignite it with a sparkler! It'll melt the brass right out!

  • RED FACE !

  • Does anyone know what music is used in this video?

  • @Shapecharge08 it sounds like a cross between colonial american fife-and drum corps circa 1774 mixed with the russian red army glee club

  • @dammitcrap I managed to find the song, It's "The Yellow Rose of Texas". However, I don't know who played the version used in this video.

  • ahaha Harry potterfield

  • @Mrxflex1 check out the video for how to break in a rifle barrel. look at the comments... me and you have the same sense of humour.. my comment "is...is his name harry potter!?" lmao and that was before i saw ur comment :P

  • well we know whos going to survive.

  • ok that's freakin cool. How hvae i not heard of cerrosafe

  • FREAKIN geneious!

  • I'll blow ur head off if you step on mah lawn...and that's the way it is!!

  • just wondered. the firing pin. on the end of that would it be possible to make a star or a heart on it so when u shoot there will come a star or a heart on the primer ?

  • @agentkapser don't think the indent would be detailed enough for that but it's a cool idea.

  • @agentkapser i don't know, but i'd imagine you could find somthing like that or become a gunsmith and do all the drilling and steel casting yourself. i think it would be a good idea imprinting your initials on a primer, you know kinda like a personalization.

  • @MangiomoSammiches i am goin to be a smith. maybe gun smith or black smith

  • @agentkapser hey mabye you'll become the next Larry Potterfield!

  • @MangiomoSammiches yeah maybe but right now im only 14

  • I'm with Airwolf1971. I think that would be absolutely hilarious. Great comment airwolf!

  • AWESOME!

  • Hi, I'm Larry Potterfield. I'm going to show you something simple but very interesting because that's the way it is.

  • I would use a brass rod not a steel one

  • awful lot of honkies with rifles there days 0.O......(nah im joken....or am i....trying Not to be racist?!!)

  • Thanks midway this was helpful

  • I LIKED THE LAST METHERED HE DID THAT WAS SO COOL

  • Oh hell no that is raw... thank you Larry! Hopefully I never have this problem but if I do, I kno0w what to do!

  • Cerrosafe is great stuff..I use it when I want to find the caliber of the rifle if I have no history on the rifle or stamp on the receiver..I have used it to extract a broken casing..

  • what rimfire means for specifically or does it has a meaning??

  • @bazengao

Rimfire cartridges have the primer integrated in the rim, and the primer only makes a dent in the rim. Centerfires have a separate primer in the middle of the shell, allowing for reloading and more safety.

  • Simply excellent. As always, making difficult problems esy to solve.

  • lol this video is related with soul caliber rofl XD

  • MITICO Potterfield!!!

  • Midway USA rules the world!!!! I love Larry and his show on the Outdoor channel. I personally would like to see Midway USA have more shows. Keep up the outstanding work guys!!!!

  • I wish that Larry Potterfield was The President of the United States.

After a speech or press conference he could say "I'm The President of the United States and that's the way it is.".

  • @Airwolf1971 if he was ill vote for him without thinking

  • @skateboy159 agreed (bangs mallet on a table)

  • @Airwolf1971 "mr president u cant do this itll cost us a fortune" "i can and i will u know y because im larry potterfield the president of the united state and THATS THE WAY IT IS"

  • @Airwolf1971 lol

  • @Airwolf1971 oh thats funny , but seriously I watch sometimes just to laugh at how rediculously easy he makes things look. even with his endless supplies and tools you know if you touched it for 10 seconds it would be ruined , not ruined that larry could not fix it but ruined like you in a thousand saturdays coudl not make it work again, lol he is amazing and that is the way it is

  • @Airwolf1971 lol

  • @Airwolf1971 maintaining the right national budget for the u.s. can be an easy job, if you have the right tools. Hi I'm larry Potterfield, let me show you how to do this...

  • @Airwolf1971

    well said.

  • @Airwolf1971 Mr Larry is just to awesome :-)

  • smart way of doing it

  • Larry Potterfield you are the man!

  • that was awesome

  • KROIL !!!

  • @tetekofa Yeah! Kroil's great stuff. I picked up an SVT-40 a couple years ago, which had an unfortunately heavily corroded bore, and after repeated cleaning with CLP, I couldn't make much of a difference. Just a few minutes with Kroil and it was looking pretty nice. I tried the same thing on an old Mauser that was awaiting a .35 Wheelen rebarreling, same results, and now I'll need another Mauser for my project.

  • : )

  • awesome :)

  • would you be able to cast the chamber with lead....

  • wish i had one for a favorite rifle!!!!

  • @:47 kano kroil HECK YES

  • LARRY POTTERFEILD FOR PREZ!!!

  • i dunno why am i watching this man but i'm.. i guess it's cuz of his red nose and cheeks like bill clinton. or maybe i'm a subscriber. who knows...
